The staff were very friendly and flexible. We had arrived after the kitchen had closed (we also booked about 30 minutes before we arrived, the manager returned to the hotel to check us in as checkin had closed at 20 and we arrived at 2010). She then went out of her way to get us something to eat and drink and to make sure that we had good rooms to stay in. The rooms were basic but cosy and comfortable, well maintained and spotless and the shower was really nice. The blankets were a little thin (not cold though) and a bit too short for some of my companions (tall Dutch people). I am sure they would have fixed this if we had asked for help, but we didn't as we were super tired and arrived late. Breakfast was excellent and not expensive. Staff spoke both German and English. The stay was inexpensive. The theming of the hotel is Herbs and Herbology, it smelled very pleasant and felt clean, light and inviting. The surroundings were beautiful.

We should have asked for an extra blanket. But that was completely on us.

Nice restaurant in the hotel. Unfortunately it closed at 22 o'clock. Food was very nice, staff friendly. The hotel was very busy that weekend.

Breakfast was a bit underwhelming. Our room had the bell tower from the church opposite the street and that woke us up at 7 on a Sunday.

Pleasant accommodation during our trip to the North. We had an opportunity to hire bikes for short round trip.

We only stayed for 1 night, on our way to the ferry. I phoned ahead and asked of they had any baby cots available for our baby. They did(but the bed had no mattress, i had to put some blankets beneath our baby so it was not so hard). Very nice location, good breakfast, rather comfortable bed

A few minuses, starting with the staff that do not speak ANY English.It really needs an update for the rooms. I can not say it is a good value for money hotel, we have stayed in better looking hotels with breakfast included, at cheaper price. But for one night it was ok. It did not bother US ( because we have small children and wake up early) but there is a church near, and they ring the bell very early.

Village is nice

Waiting for the check in was long, no one was at stand, we had to call by phone and lady drives from other village. In the same time there was a stuff in the restaurant but they were ignoring us, so it was about 30 minutes awaiting for the check in.

There was no change on registration desk, that is ridiculous for Germany where everyone pay by cash
