The resort facilities were amazing! Our overwater bungalow delivered what we expected, and it was a dream! Breakfast was very expensive, but really good - no other resort we stayed had the same amount/quality of options. I would recommend booking the accommodation with breakfast included - not to be paid at the property. Watch out for the transfer charges in case you're going to its sister property/mainland. They can double charge you for it. We couldn't see any sharks or rays around (other resorts have more coral reefs in their private area where you can see more marine life), but we managed to spot a moray what was great! Hawaiian canoe, stand up paddle and kayaks are available for free - what was great to get some exercise done while enjoying the hotel facilities.

Service wasn't great at reception or at the rooms. As we booked the room via booking.com, we were the last ones to get to our room (although one of the first ones to arrive at the property, what would enable them to swap us with other guests staying at the same room type and were not there yet). No turn down service and our final bill was wrong (please check all the items and value associated to it). All the other resorts in the area where we booked the overwater bungalow gave us a complimentary bottle of champagne - Thalasso was the only one where we didn't get anything..

This hotel is a dream! The OWB is amazing and the staff is very friendly to make sure you are having a good time. Breakfast buffet is delicious with many choices. For early arrival or late check out, you can get a day room for an hour, which is great to have a shower and change!

The service at lunchtime was very slow and not as friendly as for dinner! The price at the restaurant is very high!

The hotel and over-water bungalow views were stunning! We loved our time there. The Spa Service and facilities were awesome. The hotel staff was super friendly and they always helped us.

The food options are pricey, but even that I recommend the hotel experience.

Most beautiful place!! Truly!! All staff was efficient, nice, and attentive to all our needs. Truly made us feel pampered and special Not crowded and very relaxing, in spite of being high season. Good ratio of guests to staff.

The food at the Corail Restaurant. In spite of a very elaborate menu, attentive staff, and nice ambiance, the quality of the food was well below standard. We could not eat most of the plates and we are not picky eaters. We also ordered a variety of dishes, so it was not one particular dish we didn't like.All was mediocre. The other restaurants at the resort provided adequate food and the service throughout was very good.

The iconic location and the high standards of service

It did not exceed my expectations. The food was good but average the main restaurants and there was some service bewilderment.

The view was awesome and the OWB was great. Loved everything in here.

The hotel is amazing. It's big, with many facilities. The views on the lagoon and the Otemanu mount are breath taking. The staff is so nice and caring. The bungalows on pilotis are insane, so comfy and private. We had free access to kayaks & paddles and we could swim in an artificial lagoon with corals and fishes, it's so beautiful. The breakfast is amazing and the spa (and massages) are great. They have programs to take care of the fauna and corals of the island.

We were surprised that the shuttles from the airport and other Intercontinental weren't free, as we already paid a lot for the stay. The restaurants are really expensive while the dishes aren't really qualitative (e.g: I had a starter at 35€ and it was only green salad) - and as it's situated on a motu and we didn't have a car, we couldn't really go somewhere else to eat.

Food was fantastic. Service was amazing. Chef was great. Only problem, there was only two restaurants during my stay and some days, only one. That seriously limited your options and it never includes just a simple and not so expensive meal. Please make sure you have some kind of meal plan that includes breakfast. Regarding rooms, all of them are great. You don't need to pay for the most expensive one. You'll still have a great view from any of them and the same access to the lagoon. And don't be fool by the look of the Lagonarium. It's a great place to snorkel and enjoy the company of the fishes. And don't forget to see the sunset in the back of the hotel. Not to be missed.

apart from offering more food choices, not all of them so expensive, another thing that felt "cheap" for such an expensive place was that the ICH was charging guests for the use of a shuttle between hotels from the same chain in the main island. Even if some of the shuttles were also scheduled around the paid transports from the airport. I understand it's a business but it would be nice that the hotel would connect you with the main island sister hotel for free.

Location is paradise. Rooms are spacious and beds very comfortable. Enjoyed having our own jetty to enjoy the sun and being able to swim into the lagoon from our villa.

Overpriced food and drink. They really charge as much as they can - 30 euros for a starter salad! 27 euros for basic cocktails. Food quality was fine but not amazing - although that is to be expected given the island’s location. Bathroom in our villa was quite dated. Didn’t enjoy the judgement from the older female waitresses when not ordering any expensive cocktails with dinner or only ordering 1 course over dinner. Almost like they were trying to shame you into spending more. Same thing with the ladies who come round the pool area asking if you would like a drink - almost sounding surprised when you say no!
