In contrast to the attacks on the hotel, I want to thank you for the clean beds, absolutely quiet apartment, everything works shower, hair dryer, electricity and charging points, air conditioning, microwave, refrigerator and iron. There is warm water. We swam in a warm indoor pool and sat in the sauna, it was wonderful. Zero in the park behind the hotel, there is an exit to the river right behind the hotel, where you can relax with your family, eat, walk along the green grass. Everything is neat and tidy. Our room was in a separate one-story block. The hotel is in the city center, everything is within walking distance. We will definitely come back. Breakfast as usual: coffee, cereal, fruit, yogurt and baked waffles.

We chose Sword Inn for a simple over-night trip to a friend's in the area and the value was incredible. The room was not only clean but also thoughtfully equipped with all the little amenities you could need, including biodegradable packaging for the lotion and soap, which was a really nice touch. ​The motel itself had so much more than we anticipated. We loved having access to the pool and the games room, and the breakfast in the morning was a perfect start to our day. Honestly, it was a breath of fresh air compared to a recent stay we had in Blue Mountain where we were missing even the most basic comforts. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable, and well-equipped place to stay that truly goes above and beyond!

The volume on the TV jumped from 0 to 7 so we turned it completely off once our toddler fell asleep 🤫

After reading the positive reviews on Booking dot com and Google, we decided to stay over the weekend at Sword Inn as a base point for our visit to Algonquin Provincial Park, and were not disappointed at all. Debbie is a gem and does her best to provide anything missing in the room. Location is excellent - right in heart of Bancroft and only 45 minutes from Algonquin Provincial Park. It is close to all facilities such restaurants, franchises and gas station, plus has a fridge, coffee maker and a microwave. Also comes with a parking space right in front of your room. Beware that Booking dot com listing mentions balcony and bbq, which is true, but the bbq is a common one for all, and the balcony/patio is actually a common space with common chairs that anyone can take away. But don’t worry - let Debbie know and she will bring new ones for you 😊. All in all - highly recommended!

Location. Nice games room. Bathroom was small but so comfortable to enjoy your shower.

Hot tub not working when we were there. But pool and sauna nice. No direction on getting to the games room. When my granddaughter went down the hall. The front desk clerk from the day shift. Yelled st her. "There's nothing down there. No sure what is to the right of the hallway but I made the same mistake the night before. Breakfast small but the only thing hot was to make your own waffles, toast or bagel.

Very clean and spacious room. Nice bathroom, with tub :)! There was a nice outdoor space, very spacious and green, next to the river and near a park. Location is great, beautiful area. breakfast was decent and much appreciated, the yoghurt and waffles were the best part! Pool was clean and spacious. Small clean sauna was a lovely surprise. Pet friendly and welcoming.

I was sad the spa was closed. it would have been nice to access the pool earlier in the morning. freezing cold in the bathroom/changing rooms next to pool. It was slightly confusing to get to the room- would be nice to have more signage outside. no picnic tables in the back area/playground to sit and eat outside- its so pretty back there! Coffee tasted like water and fresh fruit had got bad.

Easy to park out Harley, only thing that would of made it even better was to of had room cooled with Air Conditioner on prior to arrival

Hallways smelt damp, needs more air circulation, breakfast selection was ok, would of liked bagels and cream cheese as a choice, hard boiled eggs nice easy choice for protein

Have stayed before there no problem then. This time wasn't to thrilled with the bathroom area in that room. Had issues with the tv told staff and she fixed that right away. Nice to have pool to use n free breakfast. So overall was satisfied.

Location, walking distance to everything in this town. Very polite check in easy all information regarding the facilities given.

Had a little difficulty getting the door open and needed assistance but really this minor inconvenience was all I could find that I had issues with this property. It’s petty haha

perfect for the rally weekend. the front desk lady was extremely friendly and always had a smile. she greated us as soon as we walked in. she was very helpful and we had great conversations. we will be back for sure.

I always stay here. As a child, the owners would send their overflow of guest to my parents lodge. I have history here. My picture is on the office wall with my parents.

I love the cabana, but can't always afford it. I thought the room (124) was small for the price. Comfortable yes, could have had a second chair to sit in other than the office chair. I just feel that it's very pricey for the size of the room. My husband is 6 feet tall. He had to sleep on an angle. It was not a Queen bed.
