We booked last minute but the staff were brilliant and so helpful. We enjoyed our time so much we decided to stay an extra day! The room was comfortable and soundproof, so we did not hear the noise of the passage despite being right next to the spa entrance, and the road noise was also not heard. Lovely breakfast and brilliant spa. Best massage I've ever had and great, relaxing facilities. Will definitely be back.
There were mouldy biscuits in a jar in the gluten-free section, and it would be nice to have tea/coffee facilities in the room. But really nothing to ruin the stay.

Fantastic service, always smiling personnel, good breakfast with lots of different food. Excellent hotel to stay in. So near to tourist places like the castle and the big lake of Vettern.
Too bad the view fro the hotel is a gas station and a store, maybe you could plant a high hedge or build a fence of wood or something, just to block that view.

Breakfast was great. Very varied. We had dinner in the hotel also and that was fantastic. Both the service and food were very good.
The grounds weren’t what we were expecting, as just off main road. However location was great. As only a short walk to all the main sights. Room was quite pricey, but we did book last minute in high season.

Exceptional breakfast and really comfortable bed
It was unfortunate that during our stay there was a group of people that made loud noise at 2 AM in the corridor, which was inconvenient for us as a family with a 2 years old child. I would have expected the staff to take action, but that didn't happen. In addition to taking action, it'd be better to assign a room for families far from those assigned to large groups.

The location could not be better. Vadstena is a lovely village with many unexpected moments of delight. The hotel & spa is quiet and lush.

Both shower heads were broken, one the pipe was split and the water came out on the hose and the shower heads was maybe blocked and the water went side ways.
