This oasis is like nothing I've experienced before and my husband and I have travelled a lot. The venue is beautiful and tranquil, the perfect place to relax and switch off from the world. Great selection for breakfast and Barry is one of the nicest humans we have met. A great host. The location is a ten minute drive from nearest town or main road to the surrounds of Puglia so perfect for exploring the area as long as you’re happy to hire a car and drive in Italy. The room is like your own private suite in a luxury private estate. Was sad to have only stayed for 5 days.

Wish I could have stayed longer

What a spot. We absolutely loved it here. The garden and pool are beautiful and so many little spots across the property to sit and have a drink. The property itself is beautiful, but the way it’s been thought out and decorated sets it apart from other places we’ve stayed before. We had planned to go out for dinner most nights but we loved it here so cooked ourselves most of the nights and it had everything we needed, hobs, cutlery, pots etc. James is a brilliant host, so attentive and willing to help out with recommendations. Also just a lovely guy all-round! Breakfast was also lovely. And of course an honourable mention to Pea the cat 💚 perfect wee spot that we’ll remember very fondly for multiple reasons 💍 thank you Scottish James for a perfect stay. Irish James and Hannah

Couldn’t fault it.

Location is perfect, in the middle of olive trees, relaxing, intimate and beautiful in every corner. You can’t get enough of it. Barry and James have thought of every single detail. Rooms are spotless and cozy and very well equipped, each room has a private yard styled with English home taste. And the main garden is the most beautiful one, together with the pool and the outdoor kitchen make the perfect place to rest and enjoy the slow Apulia lifestyle. Breakfast is with various fresh jams, fruits, bread and is plentiful everyday. Also, the room kitchen is well equipped to make salads, coffee and other things. One of the most complete places I have ever been. I can’t find anything to complain about. I wish we had stayed longer than 3 nights. P.s they have prepared pages of suggestions for different occasions/dinners to visit around. Oh and the terrace is the cherry on top, I have enjoyed one of the most beautiful sunsets there and celebrated a very special occasion of mine. Thank you Barry! (We only got to meet Barry)

It is a beautiful place and lovely friendly host who takes time and care to provide everything you might need. Breakfast is lovely...and the whole setting is tranquil and relaxing...highly recommended. The attention to detail from a welcome drink to providing all those little things such as olive oil, salt,pepper, dish cloths, beach umbrellas-second to none.

Everything. Tastefully decorated. Gorgeous spacious rooms. Breakfast was yummy and James the host is super friendly and very knowledgeable. Pea the cat is an added bonus. The pool was wonderful too. Overall very chilled time. Just want we wanted.

We loved everything about our stay at The Proud Garden. The hotel grounds are absolutely sublime, and the location is prime for exploring Ostuni and surrounding beaches. Barry did a phenomenal job with making us feel welcome. We truly appreciated the hospitality of this amazing hotel. We will return for our next visit to Puglia. Nothing-- we loved everything!

Amazing property to unwind and relax. The property is beautiful and the host was very helpful on giving advice and suggestions. Highly recommend staying here and it’s close to all you need. If you need to do a day trip it’s a 10 minute drive to the train station, do no need to drive an hour to some of the main tourist cities. The host also helped with private taxis services if your wanted to spend the night out drinking in osunki

James is a wonderful host who makes you feel at home in Puglia. The Proud Garden is an oasis of calm and serenity close to some of the best cities in Puglia. We had a wonderful three night stay and hope to return. The breakfast is tremendous, the pool is refreshing and the design in immaculate. Thank you James!

EVERYTHING! the location is absolutely breathtaking, I've been to Puglia several times but this is for sure my favourite place now. the whole masseria is just beautiful, rooms are big and you can have absolute privacy in every space. we were able to use all the different spaces in the masseria really feeling like home. what a home!!!! throughout the day there are some different scenarios giving us incredible memories. perfectly thought and organised place, you can feel all the love the owner put into it. Barry hosted us and made our stay even more beautiful and pleasant. I can't wait to go back!!!
