The room and hotel overall were lovely. Nicely furnished and immaculate. The hotel manager and staff were lovely.

Be aware that Visan itself is pretty quiet. The hotel doesn't serve dinner (which we knew when we booked) but the night we were in town there was only 1 place serving dinner that evening - basically the local bar. Fortunately the meal there was good! If you care about dinner, then I'd recommend planning your dinner when you book the hotel

Excellent air conditioning. Lovely reception by the owner who found a place near the stairs to safely store our bikes overnight and gave us excursion and dinner recommendations. Comfortable bed. Large quiet room at the back of the hotel.

No fridge or in-room safe, but we were able to leave items with the owner to be kept in their fridge.

Beautiful setting and location. The room was comfortable and spacious with beautiful bedding, and good pillows. The shower was great...Pillows and showers are my benchmark, and these were fantastic! The staff were really helpful, gave us a great dinner recommendation and some fantastic stop off ideas for our onward journey.

We stayed in Visan due to our motorbike breaking down and being recovered to a nearby garage. Unable to fix it we had to stay 'in a nearby hotel'. If we had to be stuck somewhere, Visan is a gem of a place to be stuck! It is a charming old village with a high street. The hotel is on the main road but then backs onto the old village (reviews indicate these rooms are quieter). We were so lucky to be helped by the hosts, Cecile and Virgile, who were very sympathetic of the situation we found ourselves in. Virgile phoned us ahead of our arrival to check if we needed help sorting a taxi, he advised us of the 2 restaurants, though there are also 2 pizza shops open (Sunday too!), and though the reception desk closes at 7pm, he assured us they could be contacted by phone for any help or queries. The room was lovely, facing the gates on to the old village. It is a very interesting walk around the ancient walls and quiet streets, with a fantastic view from the defence ruins at the top of the hill. Great sunset! The room had a large smart TV and we were able to log in to our Amazon Prime and watch a movie. The hotel has charming, traditional-style decor contributing to the relaxed setting. We were so fortunate that the next day, having checked out and then finding out the bad news that the bike was not a quick fix, we were kindly allowed to await news in the comfort of the reception area seating and our hosts were keen to assist in any way they could, communicating and booking taxis - even though, in the end, we had to book in for another night. We were not disappointed at all (courtesy of RAC European breakdown) and were given the same room. The breakfast terrace is delightful and it was great to simply book the option of coffee and croissants. The hotel is a great base from which to explore the nearby lavender fields (check the status of the bloom/harvest for the regions). Visan is a peaceful place. We hope to stay again when we collect the bike in a few weeks!

Not having our motorbike to tour the magnificent lavender fields our hosts had mapped out for us, had we been able to continue!:(

This hotel diserves definitely more than 2 stars: the owners are extremey nice, decoration is great, room and hotel in general very clean, breakfast very good. Real value for money. I recommend !

A perfectly charming hotel in the heart of provence. Friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff. Great food at breakfast and immaculately clean.

The hotel is elegant and super clean and well located in a charming village. The hosts are very welcoming and knowledgeable about the region and offer sound recommendations.

All place is very clean and so classy! That bed was so comfy and high, everything was so elegant and well done! Monsieur spoke perfect English, was very kind and helpful. It's such a pearl on the map, we will definitely come back for our next trips to South of France. I recommend it to everyone who search for classy place!
