The room exceeded expectations. Even though it is in a small and old 'city', Hotel Des Comtes perfectly encapsulates the warm coziness of an old town yet still balances it with modern touches. The room was super comfortable with toasty beds. The bathroom was more modern. The room is clean throughout. The check in process was very smooth and fast. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. Overall recommended for your stay in Durbuy!

Just be sure to know how to get in and out of the city. This is especially important if you are going by public transport. Not the hotel's fault of course!

The location close to the centre of Durbuy was excellent. After checking in online, we were emailed our room number and allocated parking space, together with the access codes for the reception area and key box for our room. This made things very easy and relaxed when arriving. The private parking was a bonus and you are guaranteed a space. We particularly liked the self service bar which had plenty of comfortable seating. Our room was beautifully furnished, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The staff were very friendly and efficient. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel.

Nothing to dislike

This is a self-check-in style hotel. Parking is also very clear where to park. This was also communicated to us by the hotel and we did not get lost at all. Although the hotel is only a short distance from the centre of Durbuy, we did not find it inconvenient. We could rather move slowly and enjoy the nearby nature. The building is not new, but we enjoyed the atmosphere of a European Western-style house. Breakfast starts at 8.30am. The dining room has a good atmosphere. The food was adequate. The scrambled eggs were delicious. The homemade jam and fruit were particularly good. I am sure they are of high quality. Checking out is easy when leaving the hotel, as long as you haven't used the bar drinks. It is simply a matter of putting the key back in the box. Overall, the hotel was very comfortable.

There were a few electrical outlets. But not a big problem. The dining room has to be accessed by stairs. You should be aware of the steps.

This hotel is ideal for short stays. Admittedly we were the only guests on day 1 and one of the few on day 2 so it felt completely personalized and tailor made. We were looking for a place to relax and disconnect and couldn't have been luckier. The hotel is operated remotely so you get a password on email to access the premises and another password to collect your key. Simple and hassle free. The room is lovely - 2nd floor hosts 'legacy' rooms and on ground level, newly refurbished rooms. Both are equally charming and well taken care of. The bed turned out to be ultra comfortable and we had an excellent night sleep, no crackling or hissing sounds during the night which are common in this type of estate, amazing shower, nice views on both sides (whether to river or mountain, you're always confronted with an endless green wall), temperature in the room was easy to regulate (we stayed on a subzero day but managed to regulate the temperature entirely to our liking) and breakfast is very good. Sophie -a lovely host with the brightest energy on earth- will prepare hot options for you and typical breakfast provisions will be offered on the table. Lastly the hotel faces the city about 25 meters from the bridge so you are in Durbuy centre in about 2 minutes, and you can park at the hotel as well.

Nothing - maybe have a coffee machine in the room as Durbuy is very small and has no stores and/or Evertything is closed as of certain time of day.

The hotel is in a lovely spot by the river and chateau in Durbuy, with a riverside garden and terrace. Just a short walk into the old town. The room was comfortable and the honesty bar downstairs has a good selection of drinks including local beers. Good breakfast which you have to pre-order and secure storage for our bikes.

There's no staff until breakfast so you get lots of emails about access, check in and breakfast and there's no one on site to answer questions. Nothing to do with the hotel but a lot of the restaurants were closed mid week.

The hotel is well located and easy to reach. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and everything was very clean. We especially appreciated the private parking on the property and the option to enjoy a beer in the evening via self-service - a nice touch. The room was a bit small, but still sufficient and comfortable. Overall, a very pleasant stay - we would gladly come back!

Very nice location close to Durbuy town, modern and comfortable rooms, very easy practical check-in check-out and free parking in private garage of the hotel. Especially I liked that suite room was possible to host our entire family of 4 people. Also no surprises, room and properties were exactly as described

- The WiFi wasn't working in our room - We couldn't use the electric charger with any of the apps we normally use. Maybe it is possible with a card, but we don't have one. - It would be nice if the self-service bar had a selection of snacks too

Quiet location just outside the town centre, suitable for children. A small hotel in a beautiful old building. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good. We especially liked the lounge/bar area, as we were using the sofa bed in our room.

The mattress was a bit soft for my liking.

The room smells like curry when I first walk in, the other things are cleaned, maybe it just need to have the air circulating a bit when the last guest check out
