This was my second time staying with Dormy Inn at Hachinohe. The reason for me to visit Hachinohe is mostly due to my great experience with dormy Inn. I enjoyed their onsen and the chill corner outside of the onsen. On top of that, they have free apple juice, snack and soba served everyday. The room is spacious and there is a live status of the crowds for the Onsen, washing machines and dryers. The staffs are friendly and helpful too.
It was my one time driving to this hotel. I was quite confused with the instructions given by the carpark attendant and he got angry with due to the miscommunication. However, that does not affect my trip and the overall experience with this hotel.

Price is good for what you get. A business hotel with an onsen. The ice cream after onsen is a nice touch... So are the massage chairs. This is a nice place to relax and unwind after a long day at work. The snow outside while sitting in a relaxing onsen was very cool. I also enjoyed the sauna. Nice place. All in all, I loved my experience here!
The pillows are bad, I had to buy a better pillow. 1/2 of the parking staff are not very friendly, the other 1/2 are very friendly... So that is weird. All in all, I loved my experience here!

Absolutely loved this Dormy Inn! Smiley and chatty staff, made check-in a breeze. They also gave good recommendations to enjoy some local dishes. Room was very decently sized for a single, didn't feel tight at all. It was clean, well stocked with amenities and PJ's were present too. Location was very good for restaurants and bars, only a couple minutes away from Miroku Yokocho. Bus stop from main spots in Hachinoe was 2 minutes away as well, JR train station was 15 min away. The onsen ... Oh so goooooooood! Spacious, peaceful, quiet, ideal for a soaking and relaxing.
Didn't notice any negatives to be fair. PJ's were a bit worn out maybe, but clean. Apart from that, I was quite pleased

Excellent breakfast buffet, friendly and efficient staff, good location, and the evening free ramen (we did not partake but I am sure it is very good as their breakfast was fabulous). I have stayed at other Dormy Inn properties before, and this one is very much the same but probably a little better. The indoors and outdoors hot springs are wonderful, and the area super clean (I am particular about cleanliness in bath areas…). In fact, the entire hotel is very clean and well taken care of. Breakfast buffet is plenty and full of amazing choices. It may seem a little lacking for those who prefer western style breakfast, but for those who are adventurous, the many local dishes this hotel prepares are worth the price. The room may be small but has all the needed amenities. It is helpful to have the services on the TV such as if wanting to decline room cleaning, or if wanting to check if hot springs or breakfast room is busy. My partner especially enjoyed the water pressure and the never ending supply of hot water in the shower. Parking at the hotel is 1000 yen per day and only allows exiting and entering once each day if staying over 2 days. If needing to come and go, there is a parking lot less than a minute away on the same side of the street as the hotel that allows for 20 min free parking. My partner and I really enjoyed the stay here and would come back again.
A couple of the staff seemed a bit cold and not very willing to help. Perhaps it’s because they didn’t feel comfortable speaking in English and my Japanese was terrible. It is a big contrast to the other super helpful staff which was why I noticed the difference. In the room, as desk space is limited, it may be helpful to have the TV hung on the wall instead.

Spacious room with lots of outlets and hangers. A sliding door between the entry and the bedroom area helps cut down noise from the hallway. Nice public bath. Excellent breakfast. Microwave ovens on multiple floors. Comfy loungewear. 11:00 am. Checkout time. Excellent value for money.
Only a shower in the room, no bath. Rotemburo in the public bath area is nice, but quite small. It’s near a nightlife area, which means people coming in at late hours, so bring earplugs.

1) really easy to drive from the expressway 2) multi story carpark with lift which was very quick and fast 3) love how they try to save the environment by providing amenities at the lobby and you take what you need 4) free flow apple juice and coffee at the lobby and not forgetting the night snack of ramen! 5) fantastic onsen, well arranged and clean. even has has free Yakult, ice cream for after your onsen. 6) lots of washing machine (foc) and dryers (needs coins) to use 7) the rooms are well thought through and organised for the traveler
wished they had more queen bed rooms esp for teenage children to share

Great range of facilities outside the room - Coffee on 1st storey, free ramen for supper, ice popsicles and an area to chill while reading manga/ utilise massage chairs after using the onsen, onsen had multiple facilities ranging from sauna, cold dip baths, indoor and outdoor onsen. Breakfast buffet selection was great, featuring a good selection of Japanese and Western cuisine and local food.
Is a bit of a walk from the nearest train station, Hon-Hachinohe Station. However, there are bus options near the hotel to Hachinohe Station which is better connected to other tourist sites.

BEST VALUE for MONEY. Very well located in the centre; walking distance to the food street. The room are bigger than other chains. Clean, quiet and well equipped. Bonus: an amazing Onsen with indoor and outdoor baths. Free ice-cream, Yakult and Soba noodles from 9.30pm. Free Laundry. Free Massage chairs.
They are making efforts to reduce waste like not changing the toilet rolls every day; proposing wooden toothbrush... they should go even further: reducing plastic waste and single use items, proposing to keep towels or not changing the bed sheets every day.

Free Ramen! Free Ice Cream! I love staying at this brand of hotels. Hon Hachinohe is an intersting location. if you are on your JR Pass be aware that the station is quite a long uphill trek away and only 1 train per hour back to Hachinohe fo rthe Shinkansen. You are better off getting a bus from the station. Location is good as it's in the middle of the busy part of town with loads of bars and places to eat as well as an arcade nearby. There is also a convience store around the corner. Be aware as well if you are heading to the Sunday morning markets you will need to take a taxi as there is limited PT to get there and back.
Walls are a bit thin so you can hear your neighbours movements. sizing of the slippers are a bit small in the room. But very little else to be critical of.

The rooftop onsen of this hotel makes the visit worth it. staff is very nice, rooms are small but convenient and services are great. Best option for business hotel in Aomori prefecture.
It is a bit annoying that breakfast sometimes is full and when you try to book it during check-in, all places are taken so basically you cannot have breakfast at the hotel unless you book it when you do your reservation.
