We loved everything. From the moment we were picked up by Steven, and driven to this beautiful hideaway, we didn't stop smiling. We came to Greenleaf at the end of a 2 1/2 week adventure around the North and west of Costa Rica, and we'd already been in Drake Bay for a few days first, but wanted to finish our trip with a bit of luxury and relaxation with amazing views, and this exactly is what Greenleaf provided. Helen, and Steven, welcomed us with open arms into their wonderful setting. We were treated to delicious juices, fresh fruits, amazing food (which catered brilliantly for my vegan ways), bird watching, coaty spotting and introductions to the whole monkey family who live in the jungle behind the bungalows. Helen was so helpful before we even arrived, booking our snorkeling trip for us, as well as arranging our flight back to San Jose from Drake Bay. Steven was so kind, offering to drive us any where we needed, getting us to and from the snorkeling pick up, as well as dropping us off at the airport. They both make such a dream team, you can really understand why people come back year after year. At the end of a wonderful trip we couldn't have chosen a better place to soak up all our adventures and add this magical experience as a wonderful cherry on top. If you are thinking of going to Drake bay, make sure you stay here, or at least get in touch with them for all their amazing local knowledge and passion. There wasn't anything to not like about this place. It was an actual dream. The only thing was that we had to leave.

We stayed here for the last two days of our honeymoon. It was the cherish on top. Very warm welcoming by Hellen and Steven and family. They took good care of us, making sure we had all the equipment for our tour in Corcovado national park and arranged the tour and transportation. The room was very nice, clean and private with a fantastic view. We saw a lot of animals close by. The food was outstanding! The best stay we had during our honeymoon in Costa Rica.

We had amazing two nights at Greenleaf. The family-run business provides absolutely clean rooms with an amazing view, with monkeys, tucans and hummingbirds right in front of your terrace. They organized limited available tickets for the national park for us, which is a must-do. They've also invited us to their local yearly turtle release festival which was simply stunning. And the food is awesome.

Our 3 nights stay at Drake Bay Greenleaf is simply unforgettable. The hotel is led by Helen who is the most friendly person we met during our 3 weeks vacation in Costa Rica. Her husband Steven is also taking care of guests for transports etc. He is such a funny guy and always super supportive. He even helped us in finding the correct way out of Drake Bay with our car and accompanied us for approx. 30 min with his own car. Such a lovely family!! The food Helen and the small team are preparing daily is nothing less than awesome! It is super fresh, tasty and is decorated as in a 3 star restaurant. We recommend to enjoy her Pina Colodas, you’ll never forget this taste! The rooms are super tidy and spacious. The beds are really comfortable. There is also a fridge. The bathroom and shower are also super spacious. The hotel is located directly in the jungle with a dream of a view. There is even a female monkey named Bella who is visting Helen every day. Hundreds of Birds are flying around, making great noise! We made the snorkeling tour to Caño Island and also the San Pedrillo Tour (Corcovada National Park). We saw a whale mother with her baby, sharks, turtle, colourful fish, snakes, monkeys, aguti, spider, a family of 20 coatis, tucan, pelican, etc. It was an amazing trip, we‘ll never will forget!!! There is not one bad thing to mention. If you’re thinking about visiting Drake Bay, this is the place to stay!!

Greenleaf Drake Bay is a home away from home! Thank you Helen and Steven for making our stay so wonderful and special, it could not have been any better and we can‘t wait to come back! We stayed for three nights at one of the beautiful bungalows with amazing view over the rainforest and pacific. They are very spacious with very charming interior and the most stunning view from the balcony. Located right in nature you can listen to all the jungle sounds and observe all the flora and fauna of the rainforest. We saw toucans, sloths, frogs and many more just right on the property. All meals are included and let me tell you, they are not just beautifully served but also super delicious and by far the best food we had in Costa Rica. As a vegetarian, Helen always prepared a special alternative for me which was very tasteful. However, the very best part was the hospitality. Helen and Steven made sure that we have best time in Costa Rica and helped us organize all our trips, prepare for the trips (e.g. provide boots for the ranger tours, small snacks and drinks for hikes), drive us around on Osa Peninsula and told us a lot about the area and life in Drake Bay. It was just so personal and though we came as guests it felt more like being with family. By far the best experience, highly highly recommended!

Nothing, everything was perfect.

Helen and Steve are super hosts. They go above and beyond to make your stay as good as possible. Food was great, the rooms were modern, spacious and comfortable with everything you need and a great shower. Would definitely go back there if I get to drake bay again

My girlfriend and I did more than 500 hotels and we can confidently say that the Greenleaf is our favorite one with its combination of outstanding nature, cosy rooms with stunning views, opportunity to contemplate birds while eating some great food and, Helen as a incredible host. On the latter point, she did far more that what could be expected. One of the most striking example is having her to change our national flight where they weren’t even tickets available - magic!

Very clean and spacious room, air condition in the sleeping room, nice view to the ocean, hummingbirds all around, fantastic meals.

The hotel is a beautiful place, Helen and Steven are beautiful people. We loved everything here, the views, the food, the flora and fauna. Toucans outside our lodge every day. The lodge itself was heaven as well. Such a relaxing experience. Helen will arrange anything you want to do, most likely Steven will take you and drop you off!

According to our personal view, this hotel is probably the best you can find in Drake Bay. We will surely consider to return. However, if you are used to throw/leave garbage on the street/ocean (incl. cigarettes) please stay at your home.
