Most everything. Room was terrific. Huge. Super clean. Good price. Very comfortable. Quiet. Plenty of electric plugs. Great toiletries and towels. Still the best location in town. Excellent, friendly, kind helpful staff. The gift shop is a knock out.
That the elevator was still broken after all the money you spent. You have to get better pillows. Those tiny puffy marshmallow squares are borderline useless. The sugary, pre-sweetened, out-of-a-packet oatmeal in the new restaurant is terrible. People who are going to order oatmeal in the summer because it’s healthy (like myself) DO NOT WANT crappy Quaker Oats out of brown sugar-flavored packets. You can get 10 pounds of real oatmeal at Costco in ABQ for 10 bucks. Please let the restaurant’s operator know this.

The location of this historic in the middle of Town surrounded by art galleries and antique stores was perfect. The aesthetic of the property was charming. The room was huge as was the bathroom. Free parking was available in front of and behind the hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful.
There wasn’t anything I didn’t like but was disappointed their restaurant is no longer open. Housekeeping forgot to clean out the fridge from a prior stay but the room was otherwise spotless. The elevator broke down during our stay but I wasn’t surprised because it was graduation week and the hotel was full. Lots of trips with heavy suitcases!

Very lovely stop on our 50th wedding anniversary. We loved the hotel, the staff was great, and we plan to return to spend more time there and in the town. The room was large and the decor fit the period of the late 19th century. We liked that they had extension cords on each side of the bed. Their coffee in the lobby was quite good. For Longmire lovers this is the hotel you see in the background of many of the shots.
The small fridge didn't work. No coffee machine, though the lobby coffee was very good, and a very small tv, but I'm being picky. We loved our stay there.

The staff were nice and able to help with whatever we needed. The restaurant had good food at reasonable prices, and the cafe in the hotel had excellent coffee the next morning. We stayed close to Christmas and arrived at night when there was a local parade in the town square. This made parking difficult, but the atmosphere was really special. There is a local, free natural hot spring within a 15 min drive from the hotel.
This is a historic hotel. The ambiance is amazing, but be aware that the floors are creaky and the beds are not what you would find in a chain hotel. This could be a negative if you are expecting more modern amenities, but a major positive if you enjoy a more authentic feel.

Besides getting a warm, welcoming reception at the front desk, we loved everything about the hotel: the gift shop, the pastry display and delicious pastries, the saloon, the artwork and framed images along the hallways, etc., etc. And, of course, we enjoyed our 3rd-floor room with a wonderful view of the snow-covered houses below.
The only problem we experienced was that, due to the inclement weather (i.e., a historic blizzard that hit the area), there was no TV/Cable reception whatsoever. However, we didn't mind because the internet was unaffected and we were able to watch YouTube news, etc.

The hotel is very old but that is what I was looking for. The rooms are large compared to many places I stayed at in the past. There wasn't a refrigerator or coffee maker in the room but neither was necessary in my case. Fresh coffee was available in the lobby. Parking was a bit of a bother but only because the city held a Fiesta that weekend in the town square right outside the hotel. All we needed to do was to walk out the front door to be part of it. I always found the people in New Mexico friendly but every one I met treated you as family. The hotel hung these plaques outside certain rooms that denoted various famous people who have stayed there and described what had brought them to the Original Las Vegas. Very clean, comfortable and quiet. Will absolutely stay there the next time I visit.
The restaurant was a bit of a let down. My family ate dinner there one night (10 of us) and the food was not that exciting. My sister had a dish that was way too hot (spicy) and she couldn't even eat it. They charged us for it anyway. The pizza we ordered was palatable but not better than a frozen pizza. My fried chicken was breaded too much and fried too long. Nothing that might be different on another visit with someone else cooking in the kitchen. No problem though. There are a lot of eateries close by that more than made up for it. All of them terrific.

This a beautiful, grand hotel in a western style. It's not new and modern, but it has a sheen that comes from a lot of use - like an old saddle. It has what the Japanese call "wabi sabi" - a kind of beautiful that comes with age and artful decorative repair. The location, right on the town square, was perfect. The in-house restaurant was excellent.
The pet policy was perfectly reasonable, but I wish it showed up in Booking before I arrived with my pet to check in. This is a Booking.com problem, not the hotel's.

This historic hotel had plenty of charm. Some rooms had signs outside the door telling of famous people that had previously stayed in that room. Our room was huge and had a great bathroom set-up with dressing room. The hotel is on a plaza with restaurants, drug store and shopping. It seemed like a safe location for walking around town.
Being a very old building, there were a few of the standard modern conveniences that were lacking. But what it lacked in modern conveniences, it made up for in historic charm.

I LOVED the hotel! I wasn't sure when I made the reservations but once I arrived, I fell in love. The pictures, the decor, the books, furniture, everything was wonderful! I felt like I was back in time, in the best of ways.
Two small points: First, traveling for business, I needed to be up and out around 6 am. The small offered breakfast doesn't start until 7 am, so I had to purchase breakfast. The second, The bedding was a bit old. I love the old building but when I go to bed, I would prefer a newer comforter. The sheets were great though!

We went to the bar for drinks first ( 8+ hours driving). They're music was great; a little rock and roll, country mix, blues..relaxing. Also had College basketball on the t.v.'s. I had Miso cod over couscous with kale, greens and sprouts, my hubby had a burger with green chiles, bacon and truffle fries. DELICIOUSLY PERFECT! The bartender, David, and his manager, George, we're so pleasant to speak with and so attentive to us. It was a wonderful late evening...we slept very comfortable in the Hillary Swank room. The Plaza has great history and Las Vegas, NM is small, quaint town!
There were zero disappointments.
