For a small facility in such a remote area, this is definitely a hidden gem. Much more than I was expecting. A beautiful view of the valley out the back sliding door, as well as a walking trail that not only gives further views of the valley, but an amazing look at the craggy cliff behind. The lights that have been added to highlight the cliff at night are just an added benefit. They offer pizza, for a fee, which is a very nice feature since there are no other options within walking distance. The beds were just as comfortable as the ones in larger branded hotels I have stayed in, and the bathroom seemed to have been recently updated. Altogether, clean and comfortable. Two thumbs up.

You know us women with all our makeup and hair stuff. A larger counter in the bathroom would have been nice, but it's functional. No complaints really. Would have liked to stay longer, but was just passing through on my way home. Hopefully, another time.

The room was spotlessly clean! The location is peaceful considering it's just off 395, and just outside Walker, where there are some food options available as long as you don't want fine dining. The staff was very helpful with suggestions for nearby activities, and the grounds are very well maintained. Zero complaints.

I loved my stay. No complaints whatsoever. If I have to nitpick, the Red Bull for sale in the office was a bit pricy, but that's it.

We had a great stay at Meadowcliff Lodge. Our room was large and roomy, and the bathroom is large and has good light. The water pressure for shower and tub was great, beds were comfortable and had crisp white comforters on them. Our room was also very clean and the bathroom was sanitized. There's a glass sliding door to the room where you could go outside and sit on a patio. There's a ceiling fan above the beds, which helped with cooling the room. AC worked well. On site there's a place to wash clothes if needed. Pool is very nice, and there's a grass area to play tether ball or volleyball, and there's rocking horses and swings for children. I highly recommend staying here in one of their rooms or if you have a camper, staying there in a camper.

Can't think of anything that could have been better.

This is a good choice while on the road, or then if you are RVing. It's mainly a RV park, but they have a few motel rooms. Our room was large, but clearly dated. Shower facilities were quite old and cramped. When we arrived it was unseasonably cold and the room was freezing. We talked to the staff and they immediately turned on the heater. That solved the problem. Bed turned out to be quite comfortable in the end. Had a good night's sleep.

A bit dated and small bathroom. Price is also not the lowest, but the environment was nice, and it was quiet for the most part (minor road noise from some distance). Not much in terms of food options nearby. The ribs place in Walker was not as good as advertised (dry ribs), but that is not the hotel's fault.

The room was spacious and clean. The bed was very comfortable. There was a table and chairs where you could eat or play games. The staff was very nice. The property was well kept with nice landscaping. They covered and treated the pool at night. There were several activities we could do on the lawn ( horse shoes, disc golf, tether ball and a swing set. There is a recreation room by the pool with several things to do.

Since the hotel is part of a KOA the pool area was pretty busy. There were more people than chairs. However, they utilized the space as best they could.

Loved everything about Meadowcliff - excellent communication before, during and after our stay, friendly staff, gorgeous scenery all around, beautiful grounds with grassy area, nice pool with perfect temperate, our room was spotless, super comfortable and cool and with more than we needed. Loved how the sun set behind the mountain cooling things off well before sunset. Just beautiful! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Nothing not to like!

The staff were very friendly, supportive and attentively respectful - increasingly rare attributes these days and most welcome. The views are AMAZING - it's a beautiful spot - despite being "in the middle of almost nowhere".

The location and views were wonderful

The TV in our room didn’t work which after a long day driving we were ready to relax and watch a movie. It was after 5:00 when we realized the TV didn’t work and no one is available to help you after 5:00.

This was the best place we stayed at during our US trip! Very clean, big room with a private balcony with great views! The bedsheets were the softest sheets I've ever encountered in a motel, absolutely loved sleeping in them. The facilities were great, although we didn't get the chance to try the pool, it looked fantastic. The restaurant next door was also delicious (sadly, they do close way too early). Very quiet room.

The room would get considerably hot during the day and night if you didn't leave the AC on, which was quite noisy. Bugs also seem to easily find their way in, but it was no big deal. Not really that well located: you're 1h30 from Lake Tahoe and 3h30 from Yosemite Valley so still a lot of driving around but the scenery makes up for it!

Location is quirky and rustic and quite dramatic with the cliffs just behind the property. Things appear refreshed and repainted, love the patio chairs outside the back sliding doors overlooking the sagebrush and eastern landscape. Appreciate the dining table and chairs in the room (206) as well as overhead light/fan. We saw lizards and snakes - don't eek, they're safe - it's nature :-)

Shower spray too forceful (what happened to water conservation?), toilet not low-flow although staff said replacement is ongoing, need more towel racks and counter space in bathroom. Hotel staff don't mention Coach Whip Cafe at front of the property as an option for food, ostensibly because they don't pay Meadowcliff to advertise (?), but just know it's there before you drive hither and yon wasting precious gas looking for food. Too many disposables offered, would prefer refillable toiletries for less waste.
