Very nice breakfast and a lovely room with a view over Wittlich. Dinner was very tasteful but price/quality is rather high. Try also some restaurants in Wittlich, it's only a 6 min drive to the center and there are nice restaurants where you pay less for a good dinner. We enjoyed the walk (about 9km) through the woods that starts directly at the hotel with some relaxation in the spa afterwards. Location is central between Trier and Cochem close to the highway so you can easily reach Trier, Cochem, Bernkastel,the Moselle region within 30-40 min drives.

Unfortunately no new toilet paper was added after cleaning our room. Rooms are updated but the hallway to the rooms is outdated.

Comfortable hotel with good facilities. Nice sauna. The cheaper rooms are at the back looking over woods. Since I prefer dark quieter rooms this is ideal.

The dinner options are a little pricy. But if you like vegetarian food, the options are cheaper and very tasty. Breakfast was very good,

Staff was very friendly, very good restaurant we had a nice dinner. The breakfast was also excellent. Room was clean and huge!

Because of the energy crisis in Germany the hotel was forbidden to warm their swimming pool. The water in the pool was very cold. We couldn't use it and yet therefore we booked the hotel.

Great views, parking not a problem including for unloading. Good English spoken by all. Proper window shutters to block the light.

Everything was above the expectations. Very nice and confortable room, good food at the restaurant and nice swimming pool and sauna.

For a 4 stars hotel maybe 40 ml of shower gel in the room is too poor.

Nice hotel with very friendly staff. Certainly you can see that the hotel itself and equipment in rooms is not new, but everything is functional and clean. What was really fantastic was the dinner. I could not believe that we are in Germany. I do not want to be unpolite, but usual Germans kitchen is for foreigners sometimes a bit strange, but it it not case of this hotel! The kitchen there was on Michelin´s star level:-)

Only small things: For example in 4star hotel I would expect some tea pot or coffee maker in the room and maybe some typical "hotel slippers". But it is nothing so much important.

The double room was large. My 2 year old had a comfortable sofa bed to sleep on.

The swimming pool was cold and not appropriate for children. My child was very disappointed.
