Loved the historic architecture of this small hotel. Very quiet, with a super friendly and helpful staff. The kind manager found a driver to take us to the “sticky waterfalls “. We were lucky enough to be in Chiang Mai for the Festival of Light. So grateful the hotel manager suggested we go to the festival and even gave us a beautiful krathong to light and send down the river with all the others. A very memorable short stay in Chiang Mai due in large part to the Lunar Mansion Hotel. It is a very old building and is showing its age in places, but for me that’s part of its charm. The property is very well maintained.

Not a complaint about the hotel, but there is not much within short walking distance. The positive to this is it is quiet.

We had a wonderful stay at Lunar Mansion. Clean and spacious room, daily house keeping a pool and breakfast. Front desk staff are lovely and helpful! We were lucky enough to be here during Loy Krathong and were given a beautiful krathong by reception to launch at the river. Location is about 10 minute drive from Old City and is in a quiet area. The hotel does not come up on Grab but you can very easily enter the name of the Japanese restaurant next door for pick up and drop off with grab. Would recommend staying here

What a fabulous boutique hotel, in a slightly quieter part of the city. Huge rooms, great food, lovely courtyard pool and very helpful staff with connecting us to all the things we wanted to do while we were in town. Fun twist: our rooms had a complementary minibar, which completely goes against decades of ingrained behaviour!

Nice hotel - a bit older but very charismatic

Just one very good restaurant nearby. So if you want to go to the center of Chiang Mai, you need a Grab, Taxi or motor bike. As we stayed seven nights and took two tours, where we have been picked up, that was no issue for US.
