Malaga Hills Eco-Hotel is truely a gem run by amazingly friendly people and situated in the most beautiful scenery within the Malaga Hills. We loved the personal attention, the cleanliness, the breakfast (!) and rooms with views, the teas and wines available and the little library/relax area where the hosts made us a small cosy fire in the fire place. We followed the recommendations and did two amazing hikes in the area and had super nice dinners in the suggested restaurants. It's all taken care of if you want/need that (and I recommend!). We also followed 2 yoga sessions given by a Dutch yogi from the neighbourhood, which were wonderful as well. It's a place to relax, enjoy, be active and mindful, Malaga is an hour away, but nice beach towns are in 30 min nice hill drive proximity.

The weather but that is not within our hands.. it was beautiful though that we got to witness snow in the top of nearby mountains! And once the sun came out and we we actively hiking, the weather was actually really nice. So also in winter it's a beautiful place. One small more logistic thing: the breakfast is set at 9.30 in the morning, which is a bit late, for people who normally start their day earlier, it allows for yoga before it though. Furthermore, I would not change a thing. We are surely coming back!

A fabulous place to relax (in our case for over a week). Ruud and Vréneli & their lovely staff are exceptional hosts, making sure that we had everything that we needed for a very relaxing stay. Best breakfast ever &, this may be a strange tribute, but it's a fantastic place to stay if you're not feeling well. We both went down with a heavy cold while we were there, confining us to one day in bed each. We all know how rubbish that can be when staying at a hotel or B&B, but not so at the Málaga Hills!! We were staying in the spacious room Beyoncé with views one way to the sea & the other to the hills, with the most comfortable bed, so a few days confined to our room, relaxing, was just fine. It's also a very pleasant 20 - 30 minute walk to Cómpeta for evening meals.

Everything! My husband and i went on a 3 night rest and relaxation break for our anniversary. It was perfect from start to finish. We used the pool and spar facilities throughout the day, and in the evening, we went into the town and ate at some lovely restaurants recommended by Ruud. The uphill walk to the village was a bit much for us, but there is a fantastic taxi service available. Maria and her staff were great and the fares were very reasonable. Breakfasts was another lovely touch served by the very friendly E and E. Tasty local and homegrown produce with a bucks fizz (or just fresh orange) to start the day. Yoga, massages, and beauty treatments are available, and we endulged in them all!

The whole experience was excellent. The attention to detail, filtered water, homemade breakfast platters, well designed breakfast, spa facilities, honesty bar, friendly and very helpful staff. The hotel owners went the extra mile with recommendations for restaurants and other off site facilities and bookings. The views of the hillside and the white washed homes and villages are stunning.

It’s not that I didn’t like the area but it is very hilly and I would not recommend it if you have mobility issues.

Everything. The place was super clean, very well equipped, very comfortable, nice heated swimming pool, sun terrace, fully stocked honesty bar. The host really cared about everything from restaurant suggestions and bookings to walking itineraries and other sightseeing tips. Free coffee and thee. great personally prepared breakfast. Great choice of local restaurants. Staff were super friendly and nothing was a problem.

Great hosts - very helpful booking things for us and recommending places - good chat too :) We loved the library space - great for late night games sessions. The breakfasts were delicious - not least the champagne!! The massage, yoga and electric bikes were really good and we had some excellent walks nearby.

The bed was a little hard for us and the walk into town for dinner was quite long - though good exercise, so not all bad - and we could have easily got a taxi so not really a problem. The pool was a little on the cool side.

This place is absolutely perfect. The rooms are beautiful, with great views, and the location is ideal (just a 20-minute walk to most restaurants yet still the hotel has a secluded feeling). The breakfast is simply the best, and to top it off, the owners are exceptional. I’ve never met such genuine, friendly hosts who go above and beyond to help with planning your days and ensure you feel completely at home. I highly recommend staying here. We had booked for 3 nights and wished we could have stayed longer. From the time of arrival to the moment we left we felt very relaxed and comfortable. The owners and the staff were very welcoming and keen to make our stay memorable. We made full use of the facilities (especially the swimming pool) and enjoyed plenty of quiet leisure time on the sunny terrace. We will be recommending this hotel to our friends!

The location was perfect with amazing views and very near the town. The breakfast in the morning was ready prepared and served to you each morning alongside the other guests. This created an opportunity for guests to meet with each other. There was an honesty bar available for your use at all times and the hosts recommended and booked restaurants for you if requested. There was a peaceful zen like feel throughout the hotel. The pool area and gym were adjacent to a lovely terrace.

Adults only. Small , only room for max of 10 at any one time. Great hosts, very friendly and hospitable. They made sure to meet us on arrival despite the late hour and still made sure to give us a tour and a welcome drink. Large room with balcony/ amazing views and with en-suite bathroom with a fabulous shower. Great WiFi, never let us down, so good for catching up with important e mails or streaming a programme Fabulous breakfast made fresh every day by the great E and E!!! Superb pool and large sun terrace. Amazing massage chair! Peace and quiet.

Nothing although the road down to the Hotel is very steep. Once driven it becomes easier 👍😁. If you’re staying in the mountains it’s to be expected!!!
