I really like the jungle vibe over there. River Selina is much calmer than Beach Selina so you can actually enjoy the atmosphere. The bungalows are super cute and also swimming pool is amazing. There is a café next to the swimming pool with very friendly staff and they serve matcha so I was very happy there. All facilities were nice and clean, always stocked by soap and toilet paper. Front desk agent was super nice and helpful as well. I can highly recommend this place

My door lock was broken and no one came to fix it even if I asked for it

I stayed at the hotel for almost a month. Since I was there for such a long time, the staff started offering me better rates. The room was exceptionally clean, with housekeeping at least three times a week. The hotel is a bit isolated from Playa, but it's a great location for people who want some distance from the noise

The shower was cold for couple of days Because its in the jungle we had a lot of bugs and mosquitoes

Common space is very nice with chill vibes, I liked the area around the bar/restaurant. Bartenders were really nice. Great drinks&food!

It wasn't really clean. Bathrooms dirty, there were left used sanitary products on the floor ( I know this is a fault of guest! It is still disgusting) When I got there, bedsheets on my bed were dirty, it really looked like they didn't change it. But the receptionists were willing to help and solved it. Bed is without curtain, no small light,no shelf. Definitely not the most comfortable dorm room I have ever stayed ( considering this Selina not being cheap) Also, I wish they would tell me during the check-in there is a workout/yoga area so I could do something on a rainy day. Unfortunately, I saw it when they day was over.

The staff at the restaurant (bar) and the yoga instructor were amazing! The common areas (the "library", pool, Yoga deck, restaurant/ bar) are beautiful and very relaxing! Looks amazing!

The rooms were a bit old and not so clean, and there were lots of bugs (cockroaches)... The kitchen was messy and the refrigerators were full and had not worked time to time (there were few power offs)

Selina River is quieter than selina playa. I stayed in a private room and it was very confortable. The staff is very friendly and upgrade my room after a mistake

the cleaniness could be better specially in the kitchen and rooms, and they were out of towels to rent which is not very good. but overall it is okay and i recommend it

Staff at the restaurant were friendly, and the location is amazing. It is easy to get to the beach and enjoy surfing.

Some cleaning staff didn't respect privacy and opened the window of our room while we were inside. They tried to open the room but opted to open the window instead. Also, they were talking too loud and shouting while working. We had a very exhausting night and wanted to rest during the day. It was impossible with all the shouting. We suggest the hotel to provide rooms with a sign of "do not disturb" to avoid these situations in the future.

Nice little teepee style hotel with a great pool and quiet creek side communal kitchen. Staff was excellent and we really enjoyed our stay! Great access from Selina parking lot and quick walk to beach, minimart and new grocery store. The kitchen was close to our rooms and had everything needed to make breakfast and even cook the fish we caught each morning. If you’re not in the mood to cook there is a restaurant and cafe on site and you’re close enough to stroll over to the Selina food court as needed.

Can’t think of anything negative at all

Good shower (with hot water), place to charge near each bed, nice pool, beautifully designed, usually quiet.

A bit far from the supermarket and the restaurants area and the place where the beginner surfers can surf - which is almost non issue because it’s just 5-10 minutes of walking, but I’ve been there in a rainy period so it affected my experience there. But even with the rain it was not too bad.

The staff is very friendly. The location is very quiet calming and nice. Breakfast is awesome, pool is very nice and everything is well maintained

Since its is kind of in a jungle, there are "a lot* of bugs. Bug spray is a must and I think the place could have put some mosquito lamps around the place. Also there was a problem with the hot water through out our stay

What I loved the most was the pool. It was much bigger then expected. The beach is just a few minutes away. It was not clear to my that it was only a surf beach when I booked my stay but I loved it anyway. I did the only thing I could do and that is to learn how to surf. The surf school by the hostel has very friendly staff and very good instructors. The staff of the hostel is also very nice. Only little setback was that the rooms don't have good ventilation. So you need to keep the air conditioning on all the time. I switched it of the first day before I went to the beach to safe some electricity and when I came back the walls where dripping and the floor was very humid. Other than that, amazing, love Selina
