The “family” bedroom was worth every euro. It’s in its own building with a front porch. The outdoor space was beautiful too. We were picked up at the monastery which was great. Dinner was nice, came with potatoes which were home made crisps. Bar on site. Breakfast was the best ever. Starts at 8:15 and got dropped off at monastery at 9:15, plenty of time to make it to Vilaneuava de arousa. Most beautiful hike day, would hate to start hiking too early and miss the beginning in the dark. The pension has a sweet black and white cat, Oreo, he is super friendly. Can’t say enough good things about our treatment from the staff and accommodation. Absolutely perfect.

It’s off camino, but they pick you and drop you off as long as you arrive after 1600.

Carlos and his family are THE BEST! He picked me up at the monastry, took me in his Renault 4 to the pilgrimsblessing, picked me up again and after VERY NICE BREAKFAST, brought me back on track. THE PLACE to stay for pilgrims!

What a delight! If you are walking the Camino, the staff will pick you up from Armenteira Monastery in the afternoon, and deliver you back there in for the pilgrim's blessing in the evening, then pick you up again after Mass, then drop you off again in the morning to continue your Camino! For an extra fee, they also served the best dinner I had up till that point in Spain. The included breakfast in the morning was also delicious. Room was clean and comfortable and quiet. Also, there is a beautiful wax stamp!

Property is a little far from the Camino, but as I mentioned in the highlights, they are more than willing to pick you up and drop you off at the Monastery.

OMG!!!! this is such a cute place. I can't say enough of about the wonderful hosts and hospitality. We were walking the Camino Portuguese. The host picked us up at the Monastery and took us back the next morning. Dinner was so yummy. they laundered our clothes. Had a huge delicious breakfast. the property is beautiful. When we were dropped off the next morning on the Camino, the host met us at the next road crossing, probably 15 minutes walk for us. She forgot to give us a packet of foot/ leg soother. we would have never known the difference? outstanding hospitality. Don't sleep on this the rooms will go fast!!!!!

nothing absolutely nothing is to dislike about the place!!!!

Our host and hostess were so welcoming and helpful. We were picked up from the monastery at Armenteira for the short drive to Carbello de Prado 1900, where we were checked in and had our pilgrim credencials stamped with a lovely wax seal. Our room was very comfortable, with windows that open to let in fresh air. Our host provided transport back to the monastery for the pilgrim mass that evening and then provided a wonderful home-cooked meal for dinner. We were returned by car to the monastery to recommence walking the camino the next morning after an excellent breakfast. I highly recommend Carbello de Prado 1900 and would definitely stay there again.

Nothing to fault.

This was a gem along my Camino de Santiago. It is just a few kilometers off the Spiritual Variant of the Camino Portugues, and the owners are willing to pick up and drop off pilgrims at the Camino in Armenteira. I was able to do laundry, enjoy excellent food (a huge breakfast spread, great dinner options), and decompress in my private room with a patio and view to the surrounding hills. There were lots of little extras, and I would hope to be able to afford/splurge on a stay at this location again.

It was great, though the most expensive night of my Camino.

This place is amazing!! Very relaxing, we enjoyed great evenings at the patio, and the service is great! The staff will make you feel so welcomed, with a feeling of coming to a friends home. The rooms are very nice and comfortable, the meals are great, and the best, if you are in the Variante Espiritual of the Camino Portugués, they will pick you up from the Armenteira Monastery, and drop you off back to the Camino the next morning, Ana is so nice!! We really enjoyed our stay, and I’m looking forward to returning!

Everything is great at this place! You can’t go wrong with it!

Lovely veranda from where one can enjoy the peaceful setting in a rural surrounding. The owners were very friendly and helpful with transport to Armenteira monastery and prepared a lovely breakfast for us the next morning. It was a pity they did not serve dinner as I understand meals are very good at Carballo de Prado, but the owner did take us to the nearby restaurant for a meal in the evening.

The rooms are very close to each other and when guest book in later than the normal check-in time it can be a problem when they are not discreetly and quiet when they enter to their room as one can hear all the movements form the central passage in your room.

We loved EVERY detail! Every detail is so well thought out, with beauty, with charm and comfort! We loved our stay here so much. We didn’t want to leave! We felt so welcomed and part of the family. Our kids said this was their favorite place we stayed on our trip. I wish we could rate it a 20! Thank you for such a beautiful, warm, comfortable and welcoming stay. And a very interesante one!😊

EVERYTHING was PERFECT! 💯

We loved the tranquil location and the warmth and friendliness of hosts Ana and Carlos. They kindly collected us from the Monastery, took us back for Vespers, and returned us to the Monastery the next morning. We appreciated this so much. The bedrooms were beautifully appointed, had comfy beds and pillows and we all slept so well. There were extra touches of thoughtfulness in the homemade biscuits in cellophane by the beds, the teabags and a drinking water station with hot and cold water . Would recommend 100% . We loved our stay there
