This is a great hotel to stop off on your way to/way back from a motorcycle trip through the Picos/Portugal/Spain etc. The bike parking in the car park is fine and I have stayed here a couple of times without any issues. The check in was quick, efficient and friendly, the bar is good and there are plenty of places to sit out and have a drink. My room was good with an excelent shower as well. There are a couple of local bars nearby as well as a small supermarket. The town of Potes is only a 20/25 minute walk away. This really is a decent stop over.

There was nothing about this stay (or previous stays that I didn't like). I suppose the only thing I woould say is that the breakfast option is good rather than great - and left me satisfied

Location. Situated on the N621 to Leon this is an ideal stopover for anyone travelling from or to the Santander Ferry. The scenery is stunning and the village sits around 0.75km outside of Potes. The carpark is large, so offroad parking is never an issue. Staff The receptionist is really helpful and speaks good English. Everyone else, including the bar, restaurant, and cleaning staff, are very friendly.. Bedroom Spacious and clean with ensuite and TV. The bed was soft but comfortable. Restaurant The food was well prepared and good quality, we had the menu of the day, for 22 euros it was great value. Breakfast Served between 8 and 10:00, the breakfast was plentiful with a typical continental selection plus bacon and eggs.

The room was cold but extra blankets are provided.

The hotel was well situated for the Picos. It offered half board which was very good value. The rooms were comfortable and we were at the front of the hotel. The road noise at night was non existent and the church bells even stopped at night! The hotel had a nice pool which was great to use at the end of the day sight seeing. Parking was very easy.

Nothing.

Even though the hotel is quite large, it has a nice family atmosphere and overall is very cozy (with a nice saloon on the second floor and historic photos plastered on the walls throughout the hotel). However, in my opinion the biggest draws of the hotel are: expansive and nicely set swimming pool with nice views over the valley and high quality restaurant serving traditional Cantabrian food.

The only minor drawback is the hotel room as it was a bit rusty and could use some upgrade. However, as most of the time was spent outside it didn't dampen overall impression of the hotel

Dog friendly (except inside restaurant). A good size outdoor swimming pool (did swim but water is unheated and was quite cold). Decent breakfast (included bacon and fried eggs) included in room rate. Had a restaurant on site which made quite nice food although service very slow (took over 1.5hours for a set 3 course ‘menu de dia’.

Checking out is quite late at 8.30am. Double bed was a bit small and my wife did not find it that comfortable. Toiletries in bathroom were basic in plastic throw away packaging and of low quality. This should be improved.

Quaint property comfortable and homely.!The staff was excellent in all areas. We only spoke English ehotelier grounds that it would be handed in.and they were so helpfullin breaking down what we were trying to ask them they went above and beyond. I mislaid my handbag and when I reported it all the staff went looking they reassured me that if it was in the hotel or grounds that it would be handed in and theyberre right it was.

We didn't like the restaurant that served the evening meal. Not enough menu choice and overpriced.

beautiful stunning hotel very grand and classic, the staff were welcoming and Estelle the manager was incredibly helpful and made our stay most memorable she went out of her way to make us feel welcome . Would stay there again .

Only thing would like to see tea and coffee machine in the rooms but Spain tends not to do this in the majority of the places we stayed ,otherwise great visit .

Ideally located for a stop after leaving Santander, it's very close to Potes (only a mile or so) - and is a great stop for bikers, with good parking and I felt comfortable with security for my bike. The Hotel is easy to find and has good facilites - bar, restaurant, terrace etc and there are a couple of local bars, shops and supermarker all within a short walking distance. Bedroom was a good size, welll equipped and with a very comfortable bed. Decent self service breakfast with a plentiful supply and good variety. I'd recomend this place and would certainly stop here again. It left me well positioned for my onward jouney through the Pico's and Portugal

Nothing realy it was all good and so I'd struggle to find anything I didnt like. Even though it's close to the main road and I had a room on the front I wasnt aware of any noise.

Clean friendly hotel. All the staff were very nice.Greg the barman was very helpful and friendly.The food in the hotel was good but it was a limited menu.

3rd floor rooms have very small low down windows, and it makes it hard to see the great views from the hotel. It's only a minor thing, and it wouldn't stop me from staying here again.

The hotel is well known as a great base for motorbikes to stay and explore the area. Huge parking off street, swimming pool, good breakfast to start the day's travels, good rooms and really nice staff on the desk and the bar. 10-15mins easy walk into town for restaurants. We didn't try the hotel's restaurant but it looked a good menu and price comparable with restaurants in town.
