The Alojamiento Rural El Refugio has a gorgeous location, close to black rock range, offers a fantastic views of the valley. Full of ash trees, birches, maples, oaks, pines... Creeks and streams everywhere. A shelter in the middle on wild nature.

The lack of space to work comfortably, sit down near to the window to use my laptop and unfortunately, our neighbours was very noisy.

This is a lovely quiet spot with beautiful scenery. We had a most attractive waterfall right outside our window. The apartment itself is very modern and clean, but lets itself down in several areas - see below. However, it did have some very useful facilities. The 'manager' was very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was fine, but evening meal options very limited. We drove to the nearby village and had a pleasant meal there.

Well, a burglar wouldn't get very far because the stairs creaked alarmingly! We eventually managed to get the heating working in the evening - but everything was stone cold in the morning. Hot water took a full four minutes to come through - what a waste. It's an apartment, not a hotel room, so don't expect any tea, coffee etc - though the facilities are there. No lift, so be aware if you have heavy suitcases to take up two flights!

This is a lovely place in a brilliant location. The room we had was very comfortable and well appointed. The people running the hotel are friendly and kind and were warm and hospitable. This is a fabulous place to spend a few days at.

The owners were very personable and made every effort to make our stay welcoming and comfortable. Her dinner menu was among the best I’ve had anywhere; very reasonable and a good portion.

What was not to like??? I would recommend this accommodation to anyone.

Late at night was noisy downstairs but as i wasn't joining in then i noticed it. No major issue.

The beds are rally comfy. The room was superfresh. And the surrounding landscape, simply breathtaking.

The breakfast could be some more than just toast and the/coffee. Add some eggs and/or maybe yoghurt to make it shine!

Lovely hotel couldn't fault it very clean and Lovely staff , food was nice and fresh but could be doing with a bit more on the menu for vegetarian, but was a lovely stay and I would definitely return

The listing stated property was 3.9 mi from our destination(Garabandal). It was more like 13 miles! Someone needs to put in actual miles, so guest aren’t mislead.

I went to San Sebastian de Garabandal and the very high mountain road located exactly there,allowed me to walk for the fours hours to San Sebastian de Garabandal on this very high mountain path.

Excellent service, the staff was very kind. The room was very spacious and the view was beautiful.

Everything was great, there was nothing not to like.
