Most of the local restaurants near by were shut so not much choice,

Peaceful 300 year old mansion just off busier Road in interesting rural village on edge of picos. Lovely fuentona in village ...on google maps.Attractive old fashioned room ,good bath and shower and gentians on balcony looking towards wooded Hill . Great pushing Off point for cyclists going over passes. Safe place for bikes. Great dinner and breakfast. very friendly.

In uk you can make tea and coffee in your own room . Here we got it from the restaurant/ bar downstairs.

Peace and relaxation in a nice country hotel. Don't miss the dinner! Will come back if I have the chance!

Beautiful building

Very friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable, clean rooms and a lovely breakfast.

People: Rafael is very nice. Although we do not speak Spanish and he does not speak much English, the smile and body language still work for most of stuff. Location: House is at a quiet village with a pretty spring. Although not much else to see, it works as a stop point on the way to Pico de Euopa. House: The house it self is decorated like a museum with sets of collection including old shop models, music equipments, film cameras etc

Management: The management can be more professional. When we arrived at the door around checking in time the door was locked, we had to call the number posted on the door, which was picked up by Gabriel who does speak English. Then we waited for 15-20 mins until Rafael came to open the door. Then it was messy for paying. Rafael did not ask for our bank card when checking in and out, so I assumed everything was handled since my prepay was not refundable by booking. But in the afternoon I got phone calls (which I missed) and messages stated “urgent” saying we have not paid. Then I had to deal with it while we were still driving in the mountain with poor internet. Mistake happens and we can deal with it of course, but it would be much better if they would have said Sorry they forgot to handle the payment, then I would feel less being blamed for not paying and leaving. Anyway we transferred the pay the same afternoon. Room facilities: The furnitures in the room are old, although very beautiful but they do make noise and the cabinet door look like might fall apart if we are not careful, which reduced the space we could use. Also the sound insulation is not great from nearby rooms. I guess these are difficult for a building with history.
