This is a great example of the Dormy Inn brand. The reception was warm, the room was big and clean and with everything you need. The bath area was excellent and the breakfast was really good. Parking was simple, just give yourself 10mins when retrieving your car from the automated garage. The scenery around Wakkanai and Rishiri Island is breathtaking, but be warned, there’s not a lot to do on an evening if that’s what you’re looking for. It’s a very small city and a very laid back lifestyle. However, the locals were genuinely friendly and helpful and visiting this place has been one of the highlights of my trip so far.

A short walk away from the main JR station. It is a hotel that seems to be a favorite amongst Japanese tourist for its onsen. The free ramen for supper is a lovely touch especially when the town shuts down at night.
Need to improve communications on the onsite-parking for car. I had the impression that there was no lots and parked further away. Then after I returned to the hotel, the front staff told me that I could inform the parking staff and they would find a lot for me at the second parking site. The rooms seems abit dated but acceptable since Wakkanai isn't considered a key tourist destination.

Very good location. Good size room.
They have a strange system regarding room make-up and towels change. You need to press some buttons to request that. However, due to some hotel staff misunderstanding, my room ended up but being cleaned for my whole stay, 3 nights!!! Staff was nice and understanding though, after I complained at the reception desk they gave me some compensation.

The staff at this hotel exceeded my expectations with their exceptional friendliness and warmth. The room was not only spacious but also impeccably clean, creating a comfortable and inviting atmosphere. The onsen experience was nothing short of amazing, particularly the outdoor one, which added an extra layer of tranquility and charm. Additionally, the hotel's strategic location, just a mere 2 minutes away from Wakkanai station, made it incredibly convenient for our stay. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for its superb service, well-maintained facilities, and convenient proximity to transportation.
Nothing that I didn't like.

Walkable distance (5mins) from JR station. The communal bath area was nice as it is located at the rooftop especially the outdoor one. Room was big and clean, bed was comfortable. Staff were friendly. I was able to deposit my luggage to stay overnight in one of the nearby islands and return for another night stay.
Price on the higher side but probably due to the location & friday night.

The onsen was wonderful! It was clean and relaxing and there were 3 pools. A hot one and cold one inside and a medium temperature one outdoors. The room itself was a typical small Japanese business hotel but the lobby offered free coffee from 5:30am. They let us keep our bicycles in a room off the garage which was very nice of them.
I wonder if Wakkanai gets more foreigners and that's why they aren't as friendly but having travelled through Rumoi, Haboro and Teshio where the service was outstanding and friendly it made the staff here seem more standoffish. But they are still friendlier than most in the US so I am not complaining.

The staff was great, he helped me cancel my booking for the next day which I have mistakenly forgot to cancel, we arrived a day earlier and booked for that day but forgot to cancel the previousone, there is an onsen and free unlimited icecream and coffee. It is near the train station, convenience store ramen shops and the pier.

The breakfast selection was really good and the location excellent. The onsen was great and the staff very helpful with fulfilling a request. It was also quiet on my floor.
My room wasn’t very big and the bed was right next to the window, so that you could get into it from only one side. The furniture was rather simple.

Perfect location, within walking distance to JR station and convenience store. The hotel provided supper at night and coffee machines at lobby. There weres an onsen on the 10th floor, and they also provided free hokkaido milk ice cream for hotel guests. Room size was spacious. Staff was friendly too. The glass bottled milk in the vending machine was delicious and cannot be found anywhere else in hokkaido, must buy to try it!!
There is nothing to complain about. Everything was perfect.
