My stay at The Beekman, a Thompson Hotel, part of Hyatt, was an absolute delight from start to finish. This historic gem in the heart of lower Manhattan offers an exquisite blend of old-world charm and modern luxury. The moment I stepped into the stunning atrium lobby, I was captivated by the hotel's grandeur and elegance. The Victorian-era architecture, complete with its iconic pyramidal skylight, created a truly enchanting atmosphere. My room was a haven of comfort and sophistication. The tasteful design, plush furnishings, and thoughtful amenities made it a perfect sanctuary amidst the bustling city. The Beekman's attention to detail truly set it apart. The dining options at the hotel were equally impressive. I enjoyed a delightful meal at Augustine, the in-house restaurant, which offered a delectable menu in an upscale yet welcoming setting. The Bar Room, with its intimate ambiance, was an ideal spot for a pre-dinner cocktail. What truly elevated my stay, though, was the exceptional service. The staff's warmth, professionalism, and willingness to assist with any request exemplified the highest standards of hospitality. The Beekman, a Thompson Hotel, is a true New York City gem, offering a perfect blend of luxury, history, and attentive service. My stay was an unforgettable experience, and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a remarkable stay in the heart of Manhattan.

I've stayed at The Beekman several times, and it continues to be my favorite hotel in NYC. From the beautifully appointed rooms to the stunning bar and unbeatable location, everything about this place is top-notch. But what truly sets it apart is the staff—always warm, professional, and attentive. Every stay has been exceptional, and this time was no different. Already looking forward to my next visit!
If there’s one area that could use a bit of improvement, it would be breakfast. I’m not sure if it was just an off day or if there was some miscommunication, but our entire order came out incorrectly—from my iced latte arriving hot, to receiving scrambled eggs after asking for no eggs at all, and my friend’s meal being the opposite of what she ordered. That said, we didn’t make a fuss and still enjoyed the meal, but a little more attention to detail would go a long way. Even so, it’s not a deal breaker—I’ll absolutely continue dining there during my stays.

The Beekman is an absolute jewel. The 1881 building is amazing architecturally, with a fascinating history, originally modelled on the Inns of Court in London and intended to be lawyers offices. The original central atrium, with its cast iron, open structure is spectacular. Abandoned in 2001 it has been very sympathetically restored into a hotel. Rooms are stylish and appropriately traditional
No facilities to make a cup of tea in the room, only cold drinks, which was missed after getting back after a long day touring NYC. Breakfast is served in what is also a public restaurant/bar, so sometimes you can find it full, particularly at weekends, with walk-in customers. So, it is best to book a table for breakfast the night before. A minor negative that does not detract from the pleasure of a stay.

1) Great location. Just a couple of blocks from subway stations that can access both sides of the city (east/west). 2) Beautifully maintained classical interiors. The view from the atrium is stunning. 3) The count down party towards the new year. We didn’t book the disco party but we were able to see people were enjoying dancing from the corridors, and were immersed into the warm celebration atmosphere. We really loved the hotel and want to come back sooner!
The facilities were a bit dated and the outlet above the sink was poorly fitted, making it difficult to plug in the hair dryer. It was not a big problem, though.

I had a beautiful stay at The Beekman, and it exceeded every expectation. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the stunning decor, elegant furniture, and thoughtfully curated paintings that give the space such character and charm. Temple Court was an absolute highlight—we enjoyed both a leisurely lunch and late-night drinks there. The food and cocktails were nothing short of spectacular, with impeccable presentation and flavor. We also had a photoshoot during our stay. The entire staff was incredibly helpful and attentive throughout our visit. Our room was spotless, and we were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary bottle of champagne in celebration of our anniversary—such a thoughtful gesture. Nighttime service added a lovely touch, leaving the room tidy with fresh water bottles and Valerian extract chocolates. My fiancé and I had a truly magical experience and are already planning to make this an annual tradition. Highly recommend!

I love that the room has a signature scent. Wow. I was blown away by the scent, and I'm usually sensitive to smells. But this was such a lovely "welcome home" scent! Very comfy vibes. I also liked how folks downstairs were really enjoying themselves at the bar/restaurant. I didn't want to join in, but folks were clearly having a good time and that made me feel like I was part of a fun atmosphere. The hotel is close to the subway.
I didn't like how sketchy the area can feel, even in the light of day. I walked over to Joe's Pizza, which is only like two blocks away (Awesome!) and there was a guy there who was getting mad aggressive because I didn't have cash on me to give to him when he asked me for a dollar. And the streets really don't need to be so dirty; there was poop on the sidewalk, for example. No bueno!

Amazing Place! I had an incredible stay at this hotel. From the moment I arrived, everything exceeded my expectations. The restaurant on the first floor is absolutely delicious—I loved every bite! The room wasn’t too big, but it was just the right size, stylish, and thoughtfully designed. The hotel has a charming open character, blending the beauty of the old building with modern, high-quality renovations. I also used the gym, which is well-equipped with two floors featuring cardio machines and free weights—super helpful! The complimentary coffee downstairs was a nice touch, and the staff were exceptional. The concierge went above and beyond to help us celebrate my fiancé’s birthday, making it such a memorable experience.

The Beekman is an excellent hotel located a few minutes walk from city hall and the Brooklyn Bridge. A wonderful hotel that was converted from a 1910 office building. Very impressive architecture throughout the inside, and decorated to a very high standard. All the staff were extremely helpful. Very large bedroom and bathroom with high quality furnishing. No noise from the street or inside the hotel.
The only thing missing was possibly a few more table lamps in the bedroom.
