This is the most amazing place to stay in Gilgit! Easy to walk to the airport, very clean rooms, hot water and wifi, and most of all the staff is incredibly kind. We felt so welcome and felt like part of their family. The owner Yaqoob even invited us to join Eid with his family, who are a wonderful and very inspiring family. We are so happy we stayed here and feel like we have new friends in Pakistan. We have stayed many places around the world but Madina Hotel 2 has some of the kindest people we have ever met!

Very clean, staff were friendly and polite, great location right next to the airport 5minutes walk, complimentary drinks given on arrival, they given us a tourist guy who took us around he was reasonably priced and very good, nice place, management excellent, everyone are respectful, helped us take the luggage to airport, electricity was on all the time even if it went off they had facilities, amazing place would definitely come back again.

We ended up staying in the Madina 2 for over two weeks and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The owner of the hotel- Mr Yakoob went over and above to make sure we had a comfortable stay and all of the staff did everything they could to help us. Mr Yakoob invited us to have dinner and breakfast with his family on numerous occasions and as we stayed during Ramadan, we were invited every evening to have Iftar with Mr Yakoob and other travellers in the hotel restaurant, which we were never charged for. The garden area is nice and peaceful and the rooms are clean and the beds comfortable. Mr Yakoob has a very interesting life story and there is quite a history to the Madina 2 hotel. It is definitely worth asking him about for those interested. Whilst there are electricity cuts occasionally (meaning the Wifi does frequently go on and off) and sometimes there isn’t hot water, we found that this is common in the GB area and all of the places we stayed at along this region at this time of year were very similar. The hotel isn’t a flash modern hotel, but that’s exactly why we like it- it’s homely and we felt part of the Madina family after two weeks here!

We have stayed at Madina Hotel 2 several times, as the accommodation is so good, next to the airport, and has a very cosy garden. Mr Yaqoob and Mr Habib have been very friendly and hospitable, along with the rest of the staff. They have also provided us with all kinds of information for the trek to Fairy Meadows/Nanga Parbat Basecamp, as well as transport to Hunza for onward travel. If we come back to Gilgit, we will definitely come again! :)

It’s very well laid out with rooms surrounding a garden . The staff are exceptional with their hospitality . Will definitely stay again and totally recommend . It is very near to the airport and 15 minute walk to various restaurants and river views .

Good size room, very clean, helpful friendly staff. Good location. As normal for Pakistan hot water in the morning only. Electricity has outages like the whole of Pakistan 2 minutes walk from Airport, 10 minutes to Bazaar.

Medina 2 is very close to the airport, so you can walk and don't need a taxi, that's very convenient. The garden is very beautiful and the staff is helpful and welcoming. We came here also on our way back because we liked the place a lot. There are only two flights a day so don't fear the noise of the planes 😉

Breakfast is very simple and the bathroom is not totally western standard but compared to many hotels in Pakistan it's very good.

Amazing stay at Madina's ! The rooms are clean and comfortable, the location is great and the staff is extremely helpful and friendly ! I especially loved the environment and the garden, it is the best place to meet fellow travelers ! Highly recommended !
