Didn't like: We were assigned 2nd floor room. Husband had severe hip issues and requested room on 1st floor. There were about 10 people not checked in yet however not able to switch rooms with any. This was disappointing and created issues. We made reservations in a group and all of our friends (3 couples) were assigned 1st floor rooms. We made our reservations before them. So not pleased and limited husband's mobility.

Liked: The rooms were very clean. The sheets smelled so clean and fresh. I found my bed very comfortable. Husband did not sleep well on the mattress due to the hip issues. We did not like that there was no elevator for the 2nd floor room.

Staff was amazing, the sauna was actually hot like a sauna should be which is rare these days. The hot tub was a little on the cold side. The warming lights in the bathroom are a much appreciated amenitie!! The christmas decorations in the lobby made the whole place feel warm, cozy and homey. Will always stay at this hotel when in Detroit Lakes. High Five to the staff who take pride in their work to keep it clean, friendly and inviting. HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Hot tub was a little cold

The breakfast was very good! Nice selection.

Our jacuzzi in the room didn’t work and the hotel was completely booked so we couldn’t move to a different room til the next day. That’s fine, but I imagine we paid a lot more just for that jacuzzi when we weren’t even able to use it. Staff was good about getting us a different room when one opened up the next day.

Friendly people, great breakfast, loved the room layout with large sink area and the toilet and shower in a separate area.

No elevator. And to have an early check in we would be charged by the hour. I had injured myself and wanted to check in to put my leg up, even an hour or so prior.

Carpet was pretty dirty. Feet were pretty black getting into shower in morning.

We didn't get to our room until late and we were hungry with alot of the local restaurants closing soon. We were surprised that they sold pizza and had a pizza oven and also other things to eat. The front desk was very pleasant. Our room was clean and smelled good. Very happy with our stay and would stay there again.

Very good location. Enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Will stay again.

213 fridge is very noisy, toilet paper holder torn off the wall, garbage cans need to be cleaned.
