Staff was super nice and the room had nice air con and balcony. Restaurant was really good and original with dishes that you don't normally find in the Philippines such as a variety of Schnitzel dishes and they were very tasty. Close to beach, a few min walk away, sari sari shop next door. Thank You for the kindness

I liked everything but I noticed having lived in Bantayan and the Philippines in the past that prices have now increased a lot(2024) . It's overpriced in my opinion. Also to anybody visiting bantayan for the first time I advice to visit in the month of May (the best) to mid June, end of October, november and start of december and some others, (avoid Easter) for the best mesmerising amazing water colours. End of august to september should be avoided for the wind, seaweed(a lot) and crap coming to shore. Today September 7(for example) we were lucky and water became super beautiful but in September is usually not very common..also check the tides. I became an expert over the years lol

Everything was perfectly organized for us. We were picked up from Cebu Airport at 1am for a two-hour drive to the port, where someone was already waiting with our ferry tickets. Once we arrived on the island, a tuk-tuk was ready to take us directly to Smak Hotel. The same seamless arrangement was made for our return trip to Cebu Pier, and we couldn’t be happier with the level of organisation provided by the accommodation. The cost was €75 each way for two people, including ferry tickets. While it might be on the pricier side, it saved us the hassle of organizing everything ourselves, especially given our late-night arrival. As for the hotel itself, it was clean and well-maintained. The staff was incredibly kind and accommodating, even allowing us to have breakfast at 6:30am before our departure, which we truly appreciated. Free drinking water was available throughout our stay, and the room was spotless. On our last day, one of the staff members found a small pocket I had left behind (intentionally, as I no longer needed it) and rushed down to return it before we left. We also did some laundry, and to our surprise, the clothes came out smelling wonderfully fresh, definitely a plus!

On the downside, there were many hens in the area that started making noise as early as 4am, making it impossible to sleep in. Additionally, the toilet didn’t flush properly, as the water kept rising without draining. The AC wasn’t very strong, so the room didn’t cool down much during the hottest part of the day, though it was comfortable enough at night. A fan in the room would have been a great addition. One last thing that really made us disappointed was the Wi-Fi, which is practically almost an existent throughout all the accommodation when you try to switch it on you will find like 7 to 10 different Wi-Fi for each room but nothing actually works. We barely had five minutes old life of Wi-Fi throughout the three days.

- Premises: The hotel is rather small, which for us was a plus. Less people around, and the staff is more available to you if needed. Rooms are easy to access, and the patio is cute, with its restaurant and an area to clean yourself after you come from the beach. - Safety: It felt like a safe area and the hotel had a security guard. The room also had a security box. - Restaurant: The hotel has a simple restaurant, and they can cook you delicious food, from noodles to prawns, to sandwiches. - Rooms: Basic but well equipped. It had AC, hot water in the shower, tinted windows and curtains, and the bed was comfy enough.

I wouldn't say I didn't like something. If anything, maybe beds could be bigger, and the room doors more robust, but that's it. Everything else was great considering its price!

I already have a good impression from booking and guiding me to go to Bantayan from SMAKS. I was greeted by lovely staffs and check-in was a breeze. The hotel room had this island vibe and I really love how they incorporate Bantayan Island map. The bed was comfy enough that made me sleep regularly. The terrace is lovely for morning coffee and late night snack place. Food- My stay comes with free breakfast and have good choice of Silog and International choices. Both choices are fantastic. You have to try their Schnitzels at the their restos. Its good. Tours/ Rentals - I got my island tours from them and it was super organized and more tailored. Simply the best. I also rent a motor bike from them which they facilitate from third party and it was cheap. I enjoy biking the island with my own pace. Staffs/Owners- They are really genuine people that make my vacation with ease. Thank you! Overall, I love this hotel so much and can really recommend them to everyone.

Non that I can think of.

We stayed 9 days at SMAK's Hotel and would highly recommend this place. It has a great location - quiet, but very close to the extremely beautiful Kota beach as well as just a few minutes walk to the centre of Santa Fe town with plenty of shops and places to eat. The property is super clean and serves awesome food including one of the best garlic prawns which we've ever had. The airco works perfectly, the staff is very helpful and polite. There is this warm and cozy feeling when being here. Many thanks to SMAK's for allowing us to have a fantastic time in Bantayan!

There is nothing negative that we may think of. Everything was perfect.

Two adults and two kids in the two bedroom apartment was very spacious. We loved the kitchen along with the necessary kitchenware to cook our meals. The onsite restaurant and bar were cozy and provided freshly cooked food and drinks. It was a very nice place to hang out have a drink and chat.

Shortly after we got settled in we noticed that the sinks started to make noise. The toilet in one room did as well after being flushed. It was then that we noticed that we lost all water pressure and then finally we lost the water. There was just a small amount coming from any of the sinks and showers, just enough to cup your hands together to get a palmful. There still wasn't any water the following morning upon checking out. We informed the staff but we weren't around to see if the situation was fixed or what exactly the issue was.

Very convenient, close to town. Clean and tidy. Staff always ready to help..Own restaurant and bar, although could be a bit better stocked. Room had cold AC, TV with Netflix and You Tube, internet mostly good. Bathroom had water heater and toilet hose. Cold and hot drinking water machine just outside the door. Small bar fridge also provided. Overall comfortable stay and will stay again.

The staff was welcoming, attentive, sweet and very assisting, never had any issues with any of them. The cuisine was partly german based which was incredible. While the food was taking some time, the staff made sure it's freshly cooked and served with love, definitely worth the wait. We would rather stay in the hotel for breakfast, lunch and dinner since the food was so nice and price worthy. The location was in santa fe and based in the central area which was nice since everything was only a few minutes away. The ambiance of the place was probably the highlight, it would look so beautiful during night AND day. Facilities were nice and clean nothing much to say, except that our toilet wouldn’t stop flushing lol. They also had a transport from cebu to hagnaya port which was price worthy and convenient with the taxi draver (Gilo) which was so nice and talkative. Hotel also offered land tours and sea tours, both were amazing and price worthy. At the end of the day i have to say, out of all the places i've been to, this was one of the best locations and best hotels by far.

The staff were very accommodating. We arrived at around 10am and they allowed us to leave our luggage while going around. They also gave honest and helpful recommendations about where to rent a motorbike and where to avail of tour packages. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The air conditioning and water heater worked well. The location was also good. It was about 10 minutes walk from the beach and various restaurants.

Internet speed could be improved and might not be ideal for those looking to get some work remotely. We couldn't load Netflix on the TV. I also had to get some work done and attend some online meetings but wasn't able to because of the poor internet speed.

We stayed at Smak’s hotel for 6 nights. Our room, although appearing as a small 15 sq metre space in the pictures and descriptions, feels more spacious due to its well-designed layout. The balcony, while offering views only of neighbouring roofs and a large water tank, was a nice addition. The property was in Santa Fe town, about 10 minutes tricycle journey to the Sante Fe pier, and less than 10 minutes walk to the best beach on the island, restaurants, bars and shops. They also have their own restaurant on site serving western and filipino flavours., as well as refreshments such as their lovely calamansi lemonade which they served on arrival, and our favourite red horse stallion beer, which we could enjoy under their cooling fans. The room and communal spaces were kept clean and tidy. We had housekeeping on request, and our towels were changed regularly. It was great to have fresh drinking water, which we could keep cold in the mini-fridge. We had ample hanging space, a good supply of towels in different sizes, and a convenient clothes horse outside for drying our damp towels and clothes after a swim. The double bed and bedding were very comfortable. The simple breakfast was appreciated, especially the brewed coffee. Throughout our stay, we were able to try a small array of Filipino breakfast dishes, with the highlight being the fresh piece of tropical fruit, typically a ripe mango, banana, or yellow watermelon. The AC worked very well, and was very lovely and quiet. The staff were friendly and smiling. They assisted us with renting a motorbike, provided transfer information, and helped with printing our transfer tickets.

we enjoyed our stay but a few things would make it even better: to provide more comfortable chairs for the room, particularly for the balcony. We would have also appreciated a fan for the room, that we could also use outside on the balcony. The Wifi was a bit patchy and slow, seemingly dependent on how many other guests using it at the same time. On the first night, there was an issue with the water at an unfortunate time when I was showering. However, it resolved itself in about 10 minutes. We were fortunately already provided with a bucket in the room in case, but thankfully everything was smooth for the rest of the week.
