This is a great little property located close to the boat terminal and town. I stayed on a garden bungalow and the room was really big and the bed was as well. (Comfy, too!) there was a stove and small refrigerator so I was able to buy things from the supermarket (about a 10 minute walk away) to save some money. There was a porch on the front of the bungalow , and my ladder into the water was about ten steps away. The snorkeling is superb- so many fish and rays! The place is not fancy, but it’s the perfect place to bas yourself to explore the island. The staff is top notch. I would definitely stay here again if back in Bora Bora.

There weren’t many places to hang wet bathing clothes- a retractable clothes line in the bathroom would be really handy. The floors were rather slippery when wet.

Stayed in an Overwater bungalow. Excellent value for money. Picked up from the Ferry terminal and transferred. Meet and greet good. On site restaurant good. Towels and bedding clean and changed regularly. Supermarket 10 minutes walk away.

The property was small with a resort feel and the staff were exceptionally accommodating. The staff made this place. The facilities were great. Especially the restaurant and pool area. The location was stunning and convenient to town.

I would’ve rated this place a 10 if it wasn’t for a few things. There was no air conditioning in the over water bungalows. We couldn’t leave our doors open for air due to mosquitoes making it quite hot at night being summer too. The property needs some overall maintenance and a refresh. Loose timbers, cracked tiles/glass, peeling paint, doors not closing properly and general overall wear. With some maintenance it would be amazing.

The place was well keep clean tidy the pool was awesome with its view s if I went again would have one over the water being by the road was to nose for me the air con help cut some of it out also when you arrive they should have A bottle water for the customer being a hot place the walk into town was fine only 15 minutes to get to place the restaurant there was fantastic good food great service

My room was way to noisy for a holiday when you should be resting also A bottle water should be in the room for arrival as it a hot place other wise nice beautiful people who run it very helpful

Oa oa Having read very mixed reviews prior to and after booking, I didn't go with any expectations. We booked one of the 3 superior Bungalows which are partly over the sea for 5 nights. For the price paid, I have to say exceptional value for money. Yes, the decor is a but dated and run down but it was very clean, probably the best shower pressure of our Fiji and FP trip (including high end hotels), super helpful staff and a great location, walkable to the town and port and easy pick up for those restaurants which off pickup and drop off service. The pool is wonderful as is the view from balcony of room. Excellent value for money.

I spent a lovely overnight stay at Oa Oa Lodge...too short. The manager was very helpful and collected me from the ferry (free). My garden view room was gorgeous and contained everything I needed. The sunset views from the Lodge were amazing and are memorable. I had a very enjoyable evening meal in the restaurant. The island is special. A wonderful lady Heiata (who sells the most delicious mangos from her market stall at her house with her sister (from Ou Ou Lodge to the centre, go pass garage, her stall on left hand side) kindly brought me around the island and showed me this wonderful beach.

Incredible spot - the highlight of our trip! Snorkelling just off our balcony we were able to swim with rays and even a shark - no tours required! Watching the sunrise and sunset from the beautiful glass double doors was perfect. The staff (especially Tom) were friendly and very helpful - thank you for the wonderful memories!

It's not freshly renovated (if you're picky about the odd patch of peeling paint) - but for this price and this location you really can't do better!

Loved the location as easy to walk to the cente of the village - shops, restaurants, bars and less than 10 minutes from the airport ferry - Haiwai was amazing in picking us up and pointing out all the local facilities and also a fabulous boat trip tour with lagoonarium (wonderful family managed tour) and Haiwai spoke great english. Meeting Levi the puppy was also a highlight. All the staff were so welcoming and helpful, yet discrete. Pool was fabulous with a wonderful view and plenty of sunbeds (liked the fake grass around too, as easy on the feet), pool a great temperature too with long opening hours Le Gecko restaurant was amazing with fabulous sunset views. We had a lodge on stilts over the water and everything was great with again lovely views of the harbour, some of the islands, the boats/ships etc. Breakfast was more than adequate, with lovely coffee and served with a smile!

Not much at all - a hairdryer would be useful and maybe a bit more shelving for clothing and a few more hangers in the wardrobe but all minor points.

If you’re like us and enjoy living more like the locals, eating from food trucks, exploring town and having easy access to all the amenities, this is for you! Also we loved having the balcony over the water and loved watching all the boats go by!

The bed was extremely uncomfortable unfortunately, no hand soap in the bathroom. Also, it was very dark with very poor lighting in the bathroom. Impossible trying to do makeup! Otherwise very spacious and the grounds outside were pretty !

Bora Bora is super expensive and the chance to stay in an over water bungalow at a price less than the cost of a car is a treat. Oa Oa Lodge has three overwater bungalows which are simple and need renovating but are great value on this high priced island. Take the unrenovated and stay here before it is refurbished and costs the earth. Above all, the staff are very helpful and friendly and restaurants are within easy walking distance. Although there is no beach just here, there is a nice snorkelling spot straight from the bungalow, we even saw a turtle swim by. We would definitely stay here again.

The road is a bit noisy in the early morning.
