The staff, the location, very clean luxurious rooms, running hot water, the no transfer fees from a very safe parking spot to the camp and oh the food! One of the best dinners we had at Tasali! Highly recommend!
In the morning, the tents get really hot but that is understandable as it is in the middle of the desert.

We loved that the camp is nicely secluded from other sites, so it felt really private. The facilities are beautifully decorated and very well kept, and the food was simply outstanding. Dinner was an impressive four-course affair every evening, and breakfast included a buffet plus a delicious omelet served right at our table. Despite our late arrival, the staff went out of their way to serve us dinner long after everyone else had turned in. The camel ride was also a highlight—just the right length, with a beautiful sunset view over the dunes. Another bonus is that they offer complimentary transportation from the parking area to the camp, which not all places do.
The only downside was that the hot water took a while to heat up. They didn’t warn us beforehand, so we skipped showering our first night, assuming it was out of service. Otherwise, it was a fantastic stay overall!

I would highly recommend this place because it was surprising from arrival to departure. It was in a fairly intimate place, as there are no camps too close to this one, so it is quiet and peaceful, the food they prepared was pretty much the best we have had in Morocco (which was not what we expected considering we were in the middle of the desert), we had a comfortable and spacious tent for sleeping and the guys taking care of everything were very nice, respectful and hard-working. The thing that amazed me most was that I accidentally left my AirPods Pro behind at their camp and left to Marrakech. After I called back and asked them whether they could help me out (which was nothing but a desperate attempt, I did not believe it would solve anything), they were prompt and the second day I met with somebody and retrieved the AirPods for which they expected nothing in return.
That we didn’t book more nights haha

There were so many desert camps to choose from and we're glad we decided to come to this one! Mustapha and his staff do a wonderful job creating a cozy and comfortable experience. The tents are super spacious, beds are enormous and comfy, the bathroom great. The main tent for dining is attractive and we had some of our best meals here thanks to chef Hassan! Best Berber eggs. :) The location is farther from the other camps, but we chose it for that reason and were able to fully enjoy our sunset camel ride on the dunes, stars at night, and hiking and sandboarding in the morning. Be forewarned that you will have to do a bit of off-roading (dirt/sand road) to get to the parking area. We were confused by our GPS at first as it directed us off the paved road just before the correct dirt road, and there are various roads all leading out in different directions (adventure!). Look for the pole on the main road with a car tire attached to it that says "camping" and take THAT road. Staff are also available if you need someone to come and find you.
There is no heating so be forewarned that it gets very cold in the desert! (The beds do have plenty of blankets.) Also, as the tents are next to each other, you can sometimes hear your neighbours.

We were there as a family of two adults and one 6 yo and we really loved our stay in Tassili Luxury Desert Camp! It was a true glamping experience! Our tent was big with two beds and even a toilet and a shower was inside. The distance from the dunes is perfect to give a nice view and surprisingly easy walk. It took only 15 min walk in straight direction for us with a kid to reach the highest dune we saw and enjoy the the sunset there. With the camp close by and in sight we felt very safe the whole time. We were not asked any additional fees for transport from and to the parking lot nor for the wonderful and special drum play and singing under the desert sky. A cozy and special feeling was created and everything worked smoothly.
That we could not stay for a second night!

The camp is a bit outside Merzouga and this helps to have a proper desert experience, with no noises from the street or other camps. The tents are cleaned and well equipped. They serve typical berber dinner and breakfast, both delicious. Special mention to the guys running the camp who are local berber families, happy to have supported their business. To reach the parking lot, where they come to pick you up with 4x4 cars, you need to drive off road for a couple of kilometers. The guy specifically mentioned that they do this (instead of picking up from Merzouga) to avoid charging an extra to the customers.

We stayed for two nights in the desert, and it was an unforgettable experience. Despite our late arrival on the first night and our early departure on checkout day, the team accommodated us wonderfully. I highly recommend staying at least two nights (or even more) to have enough time to relax and enjoy the excursions they offer. We took the 4x4 tour around the desert with Ali, and he was fantastic! He allowed us to take our time at each stop and we never felt rushed. The sunset camel ride was absolutely breathtaking and so was stargazing at night!Ahhh evenings at the camp were just as magical. Listening to and dancing to traditional music after dinner was a beautiful experience. On our second night, we were able to enjoy it outdoors by the campfire, where they even let us try the instruments ourselves. Jamming with the other guests made it even more special. The hospitality here was truly unmatched. Thank you, Tassili! I’m already looking forward to returning in the near future.

Choosing a desert camp from the many available options was no easy task—they all seem quite similar at first glance. But we couldn’t have been luckier with our choice! Tassili Luxury Desert Camp delivered an incredible experience. The camp is located a bit farther from Merzouga, which turned out to be a big advantage—it felt more authentic and secluded. Communication was excellent from the start. We were picked up in their 4x4 at 5 PM from a designated parking area (don’t worry, while the road leading there veers off into the "wilderness," it’s still manageable with a regular rental car). With only about ten tents, the camp offers an intimate and personal atmosphere. Shortly after arrival, we had time to freshen up before heading off on a breathtaking camel ride to the nearby dunes to watch the sunset—an unforgettable experience. Dinner was delicious (perhaps a bit more "Western-style" in presentation), followed by an incredible night of traditional Amazigh music, with six musicians playing drums and guitar around the fire under a sky full of stars. And the tent itself? Honestly, it was the most luxurious accommodation we experienced in Morocco. A huge thank you to the entire team—we highly recommend this camp!

Although I spent time in Merzouga before, this time it was the highlight of our 1-month-trip in Morocco due to this special accomodation. Beautiful camp, very calm, nice decorated with the best staff you can imagine. The two Mustaphas, Ismail, Ibrahim and the cook (unfortunately we forgot his name) were so welcoming, respectful, nice and we had good talks, got incredible food, had a nice day trip and just loved our time there. They are doing great work and I hope the responsibles/owners see and value that. We wish you all the best!!
The warm water in the shower didn't work from day one on. On the last day it was perfectly warm water, so I guess, it was something short-term and is not the normal case :)

Highlights of our stay were the beautiful meals, a three course local berber dinner, and they even did an early breakfast to accomodate our early departure. The staff were so lovely and kind and as two women travellers, we felt comfortable being in the middle of the desert. Camp had about 10 other guests who were also really lovely . Comfortable beds, great hot showers and clean for having sand everywhere around you. Would happily recommend to all those on the fence and making the decision between the other camps.
Nothing really , just maybe include the pick up and drop off to a major meeting point in the price. We didn't pay anything additional but they tried to ask us to pay.
