We stayed in one of the hotel apartments, which was spacious and clean. Breakfast was delicious and the view from the breakfast room was stunning. As part of our booking we were able to use the spa for 90 minutes - which was brilliant. The pool was a gorgeous temperature (meaning elderly parents could join us) and the view was mega!

Unfortunately there was quite a bit of noise from renovation works (the hotel had warned us a week before our arrival. I can imagine the location is usually peaceful but it wasn't for us!) looked like this work would be finished very soon. There were also roads works right outside our window - not within the hotels control, but meant we were woken to a jack hammer at 8am on the first morning!

Spa is fabulous, amazing views over the bay

Struggled to get a spa booking, which is included in your stay. This was the second time at the hotel and the second time I was told there was no space in the spa. When I explained this was not really on, the spa receptionist did manage to fit us in. Whilst I understand the spa gets busy, if you do not book your room until quite last minute, it is impossible to pre-book the spa. External visitors should not take priority over residents. Luckily we were fitted in and the spa was lovely. But had we not, I would not have returned a third time. In my opinion, each room should get an allocated spa slot (even if it is only 45 mins) as that is the USP of the entire hotel.

Clean and comfortable. Great location, very close to harbour,beach, shops and restaurants.

Car park is tight. our car was hemmed in by another because there were not enough spaces for all the guests vehicles. Steep little incline out of car park to our apartment and quite steep stairs, so might be difficult for less mobile people. Need to ask for apartment at the back of the block if this is the case. No particular benefits at the main hotel by staying at the apartments . We used the spa facilities because it was a special occasion, and they were lovely, but very expensive for what is on offer.

Stayed in hotel apartment which was two storey with bedroom and bathroom upstairs. Roomy lounge with dining table and small kitchen. Small patio with table and chairs.We were a couple but great for family of four. Had 90 minute thermal suite and hydrotherapy pool which was lovely and relaxing. Fantastic views across the beach.

Apartment had combination microwave but no metal plate or grill accessory to use the combination/grill setting. This was reported to reception. The majority of the property was clean but the wooden blinds need opening and the windowsill behind needed cleaning. The aroma sauna was faulty during our spa visit, also reported. We had Sunday dinner in the Cliff restaurant, the roast beef was medium rare. I think you need to ask your guests how they like their meat cooked. Medium well would be better for all.

room was lovely. Booked for my wife's 60th and booked a 'birthday package'. On arrival there was Flowers, Chocolates and a Bottle of Wine in the room. My wife was elated. We went for a spa session, my wife stayed for a treatment but when I got back to the room a member of staff came & took the flowers away stating they were for someone else! I was enraged as my wife had seen them. On her return she was extremely upset. There was NO apology & NOTHING in the way of compensate for the upset caused. It definitely put a dampener on her birthday, extremely disappointing!!! from a reputable hotel.

Location. Outlook from our bedroom balcony. Variety of seating and eating areas. Spa. Restaurant food and most elements of bar food was delicious with excellent service from the staff. Room servicing. Reception staff welcoming and well informed. Bar staff were helpful and friendly and trained well.

On occasion there was insufficient bar service staff so they couldn't quickly attend to the numbers of guests and visitors. However they did not wilt under pressure and remained friendly and professional

Really enjoyed breakfast. The full cooked breakfast was very tasty and there was a lot of choice. The sourdough bread was lovely toasted! The view from the dining room was exceptional. Looking over Saundersfoot beach in the morning was amazing. The hydrotherapy infinity pool was great and lovely and warm. Very welcome on an unseasonably cool September morning!

As I have a bit of an appetite I was slightly disappointed with the evening meal we had. It was very tasty and I know it is ‘a la carte’ but the portions could have been a little larger! A very minor gripe though!

The hotel itself it overlooking Saundersfoot beach and very nice. Spa is lovely, pool and relaxation space with a view was epic. Could have provided some fruit or snacks in the spa, and bigger cups for water would be great. Staff were really helpful and friendly on checkout when we needed somewhere to store our stuff. The apartment is located a 5 minute walk from the hotel and near to local shops including a tesco which was very convenient. Super easy to walk down to the beach and restaurants etc. In terms of location couldn't be much better. It was very clean, nice decor, the bed was big and comfortable, slept really well. The kitchen had most things you need.

In the hotel, bar service was very slow. The staff we a little cold on arrival, could have been more welcoming. The apartment lacked a coat rack, and a clothes horse, which meant we had to be creative when doing our washing or finding places for anoraks/jackets etc! Could have provided some stuff for washing up, and more than one dishwasher tab. We were on ground level and the road outside is quite noisy as cars drive down it very fast so you cannot sleep with the window open, at times the apartment felt quite warm and stuffy, we couldn't work out how to switch the bathroom radiator off.

Absolutely loved the hotel, totally central to Saundersfoot. Stunning location overlooking the harbour. Room was really comfortable, great shower and had a balcony with a sea view. Food was stunning - breakfast had a lot of variety and you could choose a cooked option on top of the usual cereal etc. Evening menu wasn't vast but the food was delicious, great presentation of the food and the staff were really helpful & friendly. I used the spa during my stay and booked a full body massage. This was carried out in a room overlooking the harbour/Saundersfoot - stunning view. Massage was exceptional. Best I have ever had and the young lady was very professional and welcoming.

There was nothing not to like

Very spacious apartment, bed exceptionally comfortable. Sadly we had an issue with the ensuite shower running cold both days, not able to be fixed whilst we were there, but had the other bathroom to use. Also the microwave combi oven was incredibly difficult to operate, the instructions were useless and even Google couldn't help. The dishwasher was also impossible to work out which of the 20 programs was most suitable for a normal load. Would gladly go back but not cook in the apartment again.
