Very nice & beautiful please. The rooms were spacious and spotless, with great décor and crisp bed sheets. The breakfast buffet was delicious, with a huge variety of options! The staff were attentive and went out of their way to ensure that we were comfortable.

Too dark in the ground floor all day, suggesting to add more candles. the “exit” light is so bright suggest to add eye sleep masks.

Hospitality of the staff! The concern of all the staff to make our stay comfortable was excellent. In particular, when we had a problem with the Uber we had booked after check-out not showing up, they called him and made all sorts of arrangements. We were able to catch the bus safely. I regret that I did not ask his name. I was very impressed with everyone's hospitality. The hotel itself was like a movie set and made for a wonderful stay.

It was so fantastic and nice to have candles lit all over the hotel. However, it was too dark to see the luggage well. It would be nice if more flashlights were installed.

I loved the hotel. It was a challenge to sleep through on the first night, it was 40 degrees. However on the second night I opened the windows from sundown onwards and the draught cooled the room. I wish I could have slept on the roof, which would have had a better draught and the magic of the star lit night sky. This would be a really special thing to do.

I found the lighting with candles difficult. The second night was better because I put my belongings in easily found places and I only needed 1 candle lit. I think that with 1 or 2 small changes it would be perfect. The neom EXIT sign must go, it is ugly and too bright.

What a fantastic, magical place! The challenge of no light is certainly not always easy for older guests, but it is the best thing about this house. Everything else more than meets our modern needs: wifi works, the pool is heated, warm water in the shower, a nostalgic, super gym, great food, very professional staff. The tour of the oasis with a hotel guide is highly recommended.

This hotel is amazing. The staff are all very friendly and helped us at all times. We had a tour early in the morning and arrived late for breakfast but they still offered to prepare it for us. The experience of staying in the old town with candles at night is just wonderful and the location is perfect

Staying at Dar Tantora provides a one-of-a-kind experience. You will not feel like you’re in a hotel or resort, but you will live in a village as a family. Every staff member here understands and provides exceptional service in tandem with the renowned Saudi hospitality. The location of Al Balad's old town, attractions, and restaurants gave Dar Tantora the advantage it deserves.

The developers decided not to include AC for the rooms to conserve the architecture and stay true to tradition. This means that this hotel wouldn't be ideal outside winter months. Developers should also have allowed better air circulation by not installing glass at the windows and other openings, which was perhaps to block dust from entering the rooms.

Throughout my visit, the guest service team was always available and eager to assist with any requests, providing thoughtful recommendations and making me feel truly cared for. The butler service was outstanding, offering personalized attention that made my stay extra special. Whether it was arranging a private tour or delivering something to my room, they were always prompt and courteous. The housekeeping staff were equally impressive, keeping the room spotless and paying attention to even the smallest details, ensuring a comfortable and luxurious atmosphere throughout my stay. The hotel’s restaurant deserves special mention as well. The food was a delightful blend of local flavors and international cuisine, served in a beautiful, intimate setting. The staff was attentive, and the presentation and quality of the dishes were outstanding. Overall, Dar Tantora offers a perfect blend of luxury, culture, and warm hospitality. Suggest something around cooling setup given temperature is high!

I liked the tradition experience somehow leaving in the past in a mud build house with no electricity and no A/C only a fan. The rooms or is better the say the houses as it was like one bedroom apartment were comfy and very beautiful The breakfast was amazing and the whole staff was very friendly. The hotel was in great location just at the outskirts of the old town!

Not actually anything serious. Probably for very hot days perhaps you feel the hit. To be honest during the sunrise I felt a bit warm but I opened the windows and immediately the temperature became very pleasant. Perhaps to recheck the doors of the 'houses' maybe to ask to make them smoother as I almost wounded my finger because of wood fiber on the door that were not smoothed out

The design and facilities are outstanding—every element has been thoughtfully curated, creating a space that is both stylish and comfortable. The atmosphere is truly unique, with an incredible attention to detail that enhances the overall experience. And the food? Absolutely amazing!
