We were really pleasantly surprised by this Super 8 which was spacious, comfortable and even offered a free shuttle service to and from the airport. They offer a lovely grab & go breakfast of oat packs, juices and granola bars which were great before a day hiking the glacier park and the staff were super friendly and helpful. Location was great; 5 mins from the airport and right next to a food mart and a bus stop that conveniently takes you both to downtown and to the glacier park for just $2 per ride.

It's a little on the pricey side for a budget hotel but still great value when compared with other, similar hotels in the area.

The hotel has a shuttle service which saves a lot of money for transportation to the airport and the ferry terminal. This eliminates the need to hire a taxi or rent a vehicle for a single night. Also the location is close to good restaurants and stores, so we could walk to other places that we needed to get to.

The price of this hotel is expensive, but when comparing to others in the area, Super 8 does have the best price.

I showed up on the ferry with a 1 a.m arrival time. I had a bicycle with me. I was told there was a shuttle. It was raining. When I arrived there was no shuttle. When I called I was told no shuttles after 11 p.m. I couldn't find any mode of transportation for me and said bike. I had to ride my bike the 5 miles in the rain. I was soaked upon arrival. Getting there was not a pleasant experience.

The lack of shuttle!

The location is perfect for being able to walk to nearby restaurants for meals and other amenities. Shopped at the Mall which is right across the street and the nearby used bookstore. All of these places are within walking distance.

Would love to have a regular coffee maker in the room. Though there is coffee served downstairs and they have a tiny coffee maker, it would be nicer to have our own coffee machine.

The person who checked us into our room was excellent. The driver (to ferry) the next morning was also very helpful. Grab & go breakfast was decent.

I wish I understood the logistics of the ferry shuttle better. I had excess baggage and couldn’t confirm if shuttle had room, so I had to juggle a plan to get my luggage and myself to the ferry on time. It turned out that there was probably enough room on the shuttle.

When there were problems with the bathroom sink and heat, the staff (in particular, Kody) handled things quickly and efficiently by moving us to a more spacious room.

The continental breakfast left something to be desired. The Yogurts and juices were fine. The coffee was mediocre. I would have preferred cooked oatmeal to the instant oatmeal.

Very helpful front desk staff, in particular Kody, and hotel shuttle for airport much appreciated. The hotel and room provided everything we needed, and the suite was comfortable and spacious. Close to airport and using a rental car to get into town, the location was convenient for our purposes.

Breakfast was minimal and ends early, but just about adequate.

We got to the Super 8 after several days of travelling, including a missed connection in Germany that had us getting to Juneau a day late. The Super 8 staff couldn't have been more kind and helpful. When we called and explained our situation, they arranged for us to rebook our room for a day later. The room itself was excellent. Clean and large, and our two kids loved the stuff bear in the lobby. Special thanks to Angel and Mary at the front desk for all their help. One quick thing to add: most hotels in Juneau have a shuttle, but not all of them will take you out to the ferry terminal at Auke Bay. The Super 8 will, so that's another reason I usually stay there when travelling through Juneau.

Love the location of the Super 8 in Juneau and the variety of shops and eateries within walking distance. Also the new mini van for pickups and drop offs makes the shuttle efficient.

The price for the hotel room is rather steep, but it is one of the cheaper places to stay in Juneau, Alaska.

My wife and I usually stay at the Super 8 while in Juneau for dental and doctor appointments. These are all within walking distance of the hotel. With the curtesy van for airport and ferry pickups and drop offs, we don't always need to rent a car during our visits. Saves us money and convenient.
