We had the sauna room with balcony overlooking the schlei- stunning view and beautifully quiet location with walking trail around the schlei. Do note- this hotel is a decent walk from restaurants and shopping/services and requires a bus or taxi due to distance from train station. Very clean, well decorated room, comfy furniture, excellent bed and bedding. Even the sofa bed was comfortable for two people. Spacious, brightly lit. Provided water, glasses, robes, extra towels, candles and scented stuff for bath/sauna, all arranged/presented very nicely. Rotating TV allowed for viewing on sofa or bed- very clever. CAVEAT: This would be an ideal room for a romantic couple but we stayed in it as a family because 4 person accommodations in Schleswig were hard to find. There is absolutely no privacy between the sauna (with window onto room and main exterior view), the freestanding tub in the middle of the room, the sink area and shower. Not a fault of the hotel, but travelers other than couples should be forewarned: Showering and dressing for a married couple with girl and boy teens took immense coordination.

But then, there was the no eating in the room policy??! They provided a basket of fruit and small plates/utensils for eating those, but when I felt like I was coming down with a cold and decided to order pizza delivery rather than expose others in the dining room (no room service), the front desk told us we couldn't eat it in the room and would have to eat outside. It was raining. We found a shelter to eat under but had to throw away the leftovers- no cold pizza at midnight! First hotel I've ever encountered with a no eating in the room policy. Also, either the bedding on the sofa or the sofa itself smelled a bit of cigarette smoke.

Our stay at Strandleben was wonderful. The food was incredible! We had dinner in the restaurant and our children declared the burgers the best they've ever had. I had the salmon - it was absolutely fantastic. Our rooms were comfortable. Breakfast was absolutely amazing - I loved the rhubarb juice and the variety of foods, especially the breads. There was a delightful walkway in front of the hotel bordering the water. The views were lovely in the evening!

It's a fabulous hotel in a beautiful and very peaceful waterfront location. The room was very comfortable, tastefully decorated, and clean. Food in a hotel restaurant was amazing, great choice, including vegetarian and vegan options. Staff was attentive and helpful. I would definitely stay again.

breakfast was perfect, and location is fine. our daughter study at Stiftung Louisenlund at Güby so its perfect place to stay over if we have school party or just to visit her in Güby.

please provide more amenities, just like shower cap , tooth brush and zahnpaste, because last time when we stay we didnt get them.

Where to start, a beautiful building with an awesome view. Service minded, multi lingual and polite personal. Luxurious room (suite) with great beds, very nice bathroom. Very good breakfast with lots of local produce.

I should have booked a longer stay

Hotel placed very close to the water with nice view(if you choose a room with view to the water). It's a quiet place. Kind staff in restaurant

The hotel has a delightful location on the waterfront just beyond the old fishing cottages in Schleswig. It is very modern and well appointed and what would be expected of a boutique hotel. The room was generous and the bed comfortable. The hotel went to great lengths to ensure Covid-19 safety. Everything was clean and well maintained. The pre-ordered breakfast was generous. We had an evening meal in the hotel and this was well presented, tasty and filling. A short walk takes you into the heart of the old fishing cottages of Schleswig, which is very historic and attractive.
