We didn’t have breakfast as we we have early lunch. We have stayed at the hotel many times and love coming to stay. Always a good welcome from Giles and his team. Our room was perfect. Carantec is a lovely town and beach. Our room had very comfortable beds, very clean bed linen, everything was perfect.

Great location in wonderful town. Lots of local bars and restaurants, nice pizza in place just nearly opposite. Range of food and drinks venues down by the beach a five minute cycle away. Breakfast excellent. Room very clean. Good hot shower. Beds comfy. I was cycling with my brother and we visited here last May and this was a second visit. Staff friendly and efficient. Good value twin room. Bike rack in rear discrete garden patio area. Will visit again for sure.

Room was comfortable and with good facilities. Stayed for one night prior to return to UK. Staff recommendation of a restaurant for our evening meal was excellent, Ty Pot a 5 minute walk away.

A Bar is listed as one of the facilities at the hotel on the website, however there was nothing at the hotel and we went out for a drink and to relax, after a 4 hour drive, to the beach area instead. This is a good 15 minute walk down a steep hill.

Room was basic but clean and comfortable. Excellent breakfast. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Reception was closed when we arrived (mid afternoon). It is advisable to inform the hotel of your arrival time. Restaurant was closed during our off-season stay, but there are good restaurants nearby.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The location was good and free parking was not far from the hotel. There were several local restaurants and there is a lovely beach not far away. The room was clean and tidy. The bed was comfortable and there was a kettle with tea and coffee facilities. The hairdryer was in the bathroom and there were lovely towels, soap washing dispenser and there was a TV in the bedroom. After a certain time they lock the door and you have a code to enter the building, so we felt safe. Overall a pleasant stay and I would stay there again. Thank you very much

There wasn't any milk for the tea and coffee but as we were leaving early, we did not say anything. So in fairness the hotel were not given an opportunity to remedy this, as it wasn't a major issue.

Lovely hotel in a good location to explore the local town and local beach, bars and eating places. Good staff who were very helpful. The breakfast was very good with lots of choice.

On arrival a mix up in the booking caused a minor issue. I had booked 2 rooms through Booking.com but the hotel had only 1 room on the booking. We were offered a family room, which as we were travelling with another couple did raise its own issues, however we did decide to accept as there was no other option. Dissapponting.

Location close to the beach and restaurants. Very central for Carantec. The breakfast was also good.

The decor and walls are beginning to show their age and are grubby. Also the shower is far too small for an average-sized human. Kept turning the water off when moving in the world’s smallest shower cubicle. Also entering the hotel after 8:30pm required a login, given on a piece of paper (which if you lose makes entry an issue). Would recommend the hotel provides guests with an access code on their key fob instead.

The location was excellent and the staff were so friendly. The bed is very comfortable. I liked the tea and coffee making facilities in the bedrooms.

The bathroom was very small . Suggestion of putting some milk in the rooms for the teas etc.

Breakfast up to 1000, but food items removed to kitchen at 9.50 before we had finished, ham and cheese removed & repacked into fridge before time. We felt rushed, maybe operator might relax more.

The owners Bruno and Valerie were very friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable. The hotel was clean, light and bright. The location is in the centre of Carantec which makes it easy to walk to the local restaurants and the seafront.
