It is such a retro hotel we felt like we travelled in time. The hotel has such a good vibe. It was very authentic. It felt like they literally didn’t change anything since 70s. We would definetly go there again! Breakfast was also very good. They even had a butter maschine:D the hotel itself is so cool we would go there again! Just for the vibe we get there.

Elevators were to slow and one of them got out of operation during our stay.

The location is good, close to the beach. The facilities are nice. The rooms were clean, breakfast was really good and plentiful, and the lounge is a nice place to spend time. Would recommend for a night or two if you want to stay close to the beach and train station, but don't expect everything to go smoothly

The personnel are ok. Some are friendly, some not so much. Not all staff speak English. The staff have lunch time between 12:30 - 13:00, when we arrived, and we had to wait for more than half an hour for someone to come and tell us that we can't check in until after 4 p.m. Check in only after 4pm, even if you select an earlier time and they accept it. The swimming pool is only open until 9pm. We had a two-room reservation, but they didn't pay attention to it and only prepared one. They managed to find a second room in the end. However, none of the two rooms had the "sea view" we selected when booking (and was accepted by them). If you are with the car you need to pay for parking.

Regular German breakfast, overall ok. The location is the main asset. The hotel is located about 200 meters from the beach. There are a view cafe's and restaurants nearby and even the small town center is about 10mins away on foot. If you want to go to the city of Rostock or Warnemünde I recommend a car. Public transport is available but takes over an hour to get there.

Expect mainly East German retirees in the hotel which itself is not a problem, but they tend to be starring at you. Creepy! The bathroom is very small and the room itself is really just for sleeping. Not very comfy, but clean, functional and sufficient. Do not know how the more expensive rooms are.

The breakfast was not good quality

The daily cleaning is fine. However the hotel needs some renovation or deep cleaning in the bathroom. The shower head in particular was disgustingly mouldy. The walls of the shower as well. The lobby of the hotel has a strong bad smell that also needs to be investigated and addressed properly.

It has a seafront location. The only nice one thing I can say

Bed bugs!!! In both my room and my mother's. I caught 2 crawling over my pillow. When I complained the reception staff showed little interest. We have lodged a complaint with the Rostock authorities. The hotel is old and dilapidated. Plates and cutlery were dirty at breakfast. A complete disappointment.
