The room was very neat and clean Beds were very comfy Location was perfect Staff were very accommodating and friendly

We had a extra room and with the door configuration we could not use the air conditioner when our bedroom door was open so there fore it was very warm at night Shower door did not shut completely so water went all over the bathroom floor making it very slippery for my elderly mum getting out the shower. Liquid soap dispenser in shower was too high for my 8 year old to reach and there was no solid soap to use. Neighbouring room had TV playing all night and it could be clearly heard in our room which made it hard to fall asleep

Compact motel in the centre of town, reasonably priced, with all the facilities you need. Owner very helpfully listed all the places in town where you can go out for dinner and breakfast when I checked in. She was rightly proud of her town and recommended visiting the Miles Historical Village Museum. I did and it was excellent. Good Guest Information folder in the room. Bedside lamps hang down from ceiling and are high enough to provide good light to read in bed. Rooms are in behind reception and screening vegetation, at the back of the property so no noise from the highway/main street.

Friendly owners who provided all the info I needed on arrival. Room was clean, comfortable, a good size and had everything I needed. Great to have immediate access to tea/coffee supplies, which were boxed up to keep them bug-free, and all the bathroom supplies right there so I didn't need to go frantically looking for them on arrival. Thank you. It's the little things you need when travelling 😀

Staff very friendly. Location central and meals at pub across the road were lovely. Rooms very clean, bed very comfortable. Double room had table plus 2 chairs and 2 easy chairs. Some motels only have the one easy chair for some reason. Continental breakfast could be purchased for a small price which was good value but we had our own. Great price through Booking.com

One side of the bed was a bit too close to the brick wall. Bed couldn’t be moved as fixed bedhead.

Nicole was very welcoming and told us a bit about the town and the good places to eat. The Motel is small, only 12 rooms and they look lovely with hanging baskets outside each. The room was the nicest we had stayed in during our two week holiday, flower arrangement in bedroom and bathroom, super clean, and there were two rocking chairs. Nice to get comfy seats. Well equipped and a cereal and toast breakfast was on offer, we were sorry we were not staying for more than one night.

Everything. Staff contacted me when I was running late to see where I was Waited until I got there. Were so friendly. Then I got into my room and wow after the Walgett experience. So nice, clean And comfortable Microwave and toaster in addition to the usual jug. Just wonderful. I will stay there again.

Great location, excellent facilities in our room. Staff were very accommodating of our parking needs (our car plus another car on the trailer) and they also aimed us in the right direction for a couple of great steaks!

Nothing to dislike about the Golden West !

Great value, Staff very welcoming & friendly. Beds very comfortable & room was well equipped & very clean. Supermarket, bakery & great pub food just across the road. We have stayed here previously & would definitely stay here again

We love staying here and have stayed several times to break up our journey to and from Brisbane. It has a comfy bed spacious room and bathroom the first place i have ever seen to have comfy BLUE TOWELS and a nice shower mat the air conditioning is tiny but by placing the provided fan underneath to direct the cooler air to the bed worked wonderfully! we love staying here if you want simplicity with a complimentary breakfast then here is your place to stay. Value for money and so quiet comfy rooms and carpeted with pub meals across the road. Also, Glenn and Nicole will be your hosts and they are very lovely (Glenn can be a tad cheeky sometimes 😉😉😉😆) I suggest if you need a break while travelling through the western downs here is your place, and we will definitely be back. Thank you for having us!

It was perfect

We like this motel. It's clean and comfortable. Opposite the shops. Often swim in the pool.

The breakfast used to be included in the room cost but is now $5 per person. A bit step for two pieces of bread and a couple of tiny spreads.
