Charming place to stay for a couple of nights. A traditionally built cabin next next to a small pond. A friendly, welcoming family hosts (with the sweetest preschool-aged girl that will charm you from the very start. I loved the piece and quiet of this place and plan to return in the fall. (Bonus points: the host used to be a tour guide so he has loads of useful information and personal knowledge of local places to visit, things to do, and where to eat!

Maybe have an electric kettle in the room to make coffee/tea. The hosts aren't coffee drinkers so it would be nice to make our own but otherwise, it was a perfect stay. 😊

A little gem north of Chiang Mai. Pon and his family run this oasis with a lot of love and passion. The rooms are spacious and clean. If available, you can rent a bicycle or motorbike because it's a bit off the shops and restaurants. We came by public transport from Chiang Mai Bus Terminal. Take the white mini bus to Mae Taeng (road 107, north) and ask for drop off at road 3038. It's 40 Baht only. The owner kindly offered us a free pick up service. 🙏 All in all it was a wonderful experience we highly recommend.

The room was big and clean and had air conditioning. The bathroom was basic, but had hot water and a beautiful wooden sink. The owner was friendly and helped us with a dinner recommendation and even showed us the way there on his scooter. We were happy to get some scrambled eggs with our toast and coffee at breakfast and the owner sat and chatted with us a bit as we were the only guests that day.

Not many food options close by, but the nearby cafe was doing BBQ in the evening and it would be only a 15 minute walk from the guest house.

This place was amazing! I was a little but skeptical since there are very few reviews but this place is very spacious and cozy, clean, has hot water, and the host was very kind and toom us kayaking in the river. I felt like luxury treehouse. Absolutely loved it.

We had access to a kitchen but it was quite dirty. I assume most people won't use it so that won't be an issue for most people.

My grin just kept getting bigger. Amazing temple complex nearby, canoe on dam with mountains all around, bed the most comfortable, breakfast, room size and balcony, surrounding farm interesting. Locals so friendly, country visit is a must.

Local eating places near but restaurants 3 km away.

The host was very knowledgeable about the local area and the area around Chiang Mai as a whole. He also was able to spontaneously arrange a kayaking trip in Sri Lanna national park, where we visited a floating restaurant in the lake and took in the beautiful scenery...the accomodation itself is also located in the host's tropical paradise of a garden...from which I sampled some delicious bananas!

We were taken care of by the hosts in every way 😄 program (we asked what to do around), drinking regimen, breakfast... Easy communication in english and most of all really beautiful wooden house with big bathroom in a green garden. If you want to spend some time in the countryside this is the best option. For once we didn't need an AC to sleep!

So lovely place to stay! It's a peaceful heaven with nice surroundings to see. The owner family is very nice and welcoming! He can help you about what to do/see around or in Chiang Mai (he has a travel company) or even speak about Thai or monks life! I highly recommand this place

Nothing, the trip was perfect

Awesome place to spend a night. Maybe the location seems to be far away from anything, but in this case I would say it is an advantage. Peaceful and calm. Really traditional interior of the wooden bungalows. Very friendly owner.
