We stayed in an overwater bungalow and enjoyed it SO MUCH! We were lucky to have the chance to check in a little bit earlier. It was the most beautiful stay all along our 3 weeks journey through French Polynesia. We were even able to pick up our breakfast from the restaurant to the room, that has been a plus for us. The reception staff has been very friendly and helpful. The reef in front of the bungalow is worth to snorkel along and there were many fish around the bungalow and we even saw sting rays. It is not the same like on the outer lagoon reefs but really nice.

We spent here 5 days of our honeymoon. We booked a over the water bugaloo. It was great. And the price, compared to other on the islands, were more affordable (still expensive). Room was great and the water around amazing. They have great coral in the hotel beach. Breakfast was good and had plenty of choices, but the quality was so and so. Great location. There is a place close by where you can rent kayak and boats. We booked a boat tour with the hotel (lagunarium), and it was awesome! Easy to rent bikes close by at AVIS. Great location to do a lot of excursions (by boat or bike/car). Bed was super comfortable, and the place were quiet. Great happy hour and the bartender was super nice.

The staff was not always friendly. In particular the boss lady in the morning and the lady who served us at the restaurant the day we arrived. For that reason, we avoided the hotel restaurant for the rest of the trip and went to another place down the street. We asked for late check out (knowing they did not have anybody else using that unit that day) and the lady in the morning told us we could not. Although we saw from the beach nobody went and clean the place. For $800/night, you would hope they would be more accommodating.

The bedroom with beach view is nice. I didn’t try the food. One day we were tempted to try the breakfast but I did not feel the variety worth the cost so went to the local shops instead. Near local shops and restaurants. The internet was pretty good considering it is an island. The private beach in front of the hotel is very nice for snorkeling.

In 3 days they never had beach towels for us, always “waiting for the laundry”. The staff are not very responsive on booking, they could have confirmed things before our arrival, I sent 2x a message asking if they would be waiting for us in the ferry and they did not respond. In the end they were there, but a confirmation could have make us more settled. I saw people trying to book excursions and spots were not available. I booked ours in advance, so if you want to make sure you have a place book in advance.

The hotel exceeded all my expectations! That we extended our stay there, Simply highly recommended! Perfect value for money! Beautiful rooms! Especially the sea view is amazing! It is definitely worth it! And the bungalows on the beach are amazing! The beach is super cool with excellent diving! Free kayaks/mask/tubes/ Very good breakfast, How many different little things and how nice! And the most important thing is the staff! It feels like all the kindest and nicest people gathered in one place! Especially front desk is above all praises! From the first minutes as they met us with flowers and drinks and their friendliness and smile and so the whole holiday! Especially want to note Giulia and Mahinatea these two wonderful girls create such a particularly kind and heartfelt atmosphere and super professionals of their work! It is so valuable! Super cool all day excursion around the lagoon organised by a local family - I recommend it wholeheartedly! The shop with pearl jewellery made with love in the hotel deserves your attention! Everything in this hotel is made with love! Thank you very much! We will dream of coming back to you again!🙏❤️

Great location on the main island. Lovely bungalows that are spacious, clean and comfortable. Excellent beds. The rooms we were in seemed recently renovated. Staff is very nice and helpful. Service with changing to an overwater bungalow was impeccable. The beach restaurant was decent. The hotel is close to other restaurants and shops. Snorkeling in front of the hotel is okay. Plenty of tropical fish, eagle rays and maybe a shark or turtle if you’re lucky. The hotel offers tours for snorkeling, but you can also book something yourselves and get picked up at the pier in front of the hotel.

Wifi isn’t great, but mobile reception works well. Beach bungalows are close to the road so you will hear cars driving past.

Our view was perfect. Room was comfortable and spacious. The personal sun lounges were great just outside our door. Lots of shaded areas. Water activities were very well organised. Tama and Raimana we're very informative about operating boats and advice on best spots to visit around the island lagoon. Coral reef just in front of our room was teaming with fish. Food at restaurant was delicious. Locals around the area were friendly and helpful. We absolutely loved it!

Good location, friendly staff and nice facilities around it. The best beach from Bora Bora is just few minutes walking distance. Supermarket also available in the nearby.

Breakfast can be improved. But still OK to not be hungry until you get your lunch :)

Not much around there for dinner or drinks. You are mostly stuck with the hotel restaurants. Noisy rooster, bad wifi. Shower should be closed area to prevent water in bathroom.

The location near Matira is very good. The beach, the docks, and the over-the-water bungalows are across the street. The over-the-water bungalows have some re-stored coral reefs that are very cool to snorkel and check out. You can rent a car or bicycle at Avis, or wander down to the InterContinental Le Moana for dining, or The Lucky House Fare, or Bora Bora Beach Club, and of course the resort's own dining locations. There are also two small grocery stores on either side. Due to the local ownership, it has the most local staff, the staff are very friendly, and the guides are excellent for the activities via La Plage Excursions. You learn a lot about the history. Because we traveled around the island, we explored most of Bora Bora and were able to see some of the outer motus, which made us realize that if you stay on the outer motus you are kind of stuck there.

The garden view rooms are ok. Somewhat older style and probably could use some updating but are clean and functional. If you can get an over-the-water bungalow, that would be ideal. The sealife at their bungalows is probably better than the InterContinental, which sits in a sandy area with no coral. The WiFi was very slow at rush hour (mid-morning and evening to late night). They need a better system. I couldn't make 2 conference calls because the WiFi was so slow.
