Very comfortable place, great for books lovers, quiet, value for money, surprise with a free upgrade to a large family room with 2 twin bed for 2 persons, spacious room & bathroom, helpful sightseeing & local food recommendations tips. Just across the street from train station n 15 mins walk through the station to get to the bus station to Taipingshan. best location for travellers.

nothing except a small request that 1. the man could be more friendly at the service desk & more knowledgeable to advise especially first time travellers to Yilan. 2. do not have local maps in English.

Place is comfortable & cosy. Staff are helpful.

Just 2 things to improve on. 1. Should have kept the cafe running for longer operating hours. We wanted to head back hotel for a coffee break while waiting for train. Was told, the cafe is open for breakfast hours only. 2. Toilet windows should have better coverage. We stayed at level 2, the blind did not cover the toilet windows fully. I can visible see people on the road clearly. I feel insecure as vice versa they could see us too!

the area was pretty spacious and clean. bed and pillow was comfortable. location is good and easy walk from the train station. night market in walkable distance and good food around the area. lobby area was cosy with 3 temp water provided. staff were friendly and has good recommendations with food.

mixed dorms toilet has no gender separation. 10 mixed gender share the same toilet facilities in the room. only shampoo and bath gel is provided in the toilet. had two bad nights with loud snorers and nothing much you can do about it. ear plugs wouldnt be provided.

The location is fantastic as it is stone throw from Yilan Train Station, and near Dongmen Night Market. The BNB offered a map of attractions within the town, which was useful for our wayfinding. We like the bookshop-cafe concept in the lobby area. The beds are comfortable and room is spacious and clean. The breakfast is sufficient.

Shower area is squeezy.

The rooms were nice, large and clean; and the staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent though only had four options. The location could not be better, near train station, lots of restaurants including a vegetarian buffet across the street. Walking distance to everything I wanted to do in town and taxis were cheap when o adventured farther. The first floor has lots of space.

I liked everything.

We were expecting more of a hostel, so were pleasantly surprised that Hangkhau is apparently a book cafe and had a spacious lobby/breakfast area with very attractive literary vibes and a water dispenser. We could eat our takeaway food at this area. Though there were no utensils provided in the room, the reception staff kindly allowed us to bring some up from the breakfast area.

Wish there could be a bottle of liquid soap provided in our bathroom instead of a solid piece of soap - more convenient and reduces waste. There's also no WiFi in the lobby, and limited options for breakfast.

The location is so handy to everything. We did a lot of walking the neighbourhood, and it rained a lot, but it's quite an easy place to walk around in wet weather compared to out of Taipei. The room was excellent and good value, as was the breakfast. We loved the staff and the nice homey touches.

It is not a typical hostel but a hotel with a hostel like room. Location is perfect just oposite the train station. Room was very modern and clean. Bed with enough privacy and clean.

There could be more hostel like facilities e.g. water station. Staff should give some more information what can be used in the hotel.

The hostel was located just a stone’s throw away from the train station and also the Dongmen night market. There are plenty of eateries within walking distance to fill your tummy. The hostel had a great luxury vibe with a bright and welcoming reception. There are also lots of tables for you to have dine-in meals. My favourite was the dormitory room. There was an attached shower and WC in the room and they were spacious and adorned with decent sanitary wares.

Perhaps provide some hooks to hang and air our clothes instead on putting them in the cupboard.

The location is extremely convenient if coming by train. Night market is a short <5 min walk away. There is a departmental store for apparels about 15 min walk away. Lots of food stores around to satisfy any cravings. Breakfast at the cafe was delicious too although the menu is limited.
