Well, first time in the La Quinta new style. To be fair, I dislike Wyndham for taking my points when I wasn't able to travel due to Covid. But on topic; it's not bad, clean but I don't know.... For me it lacks atmosphere. It's maybe more like a hospital than a warm and welcoming hotel. The shower for instance, really spotless but it feels like an outer space cabin. The floors are covered in PVC I think, moving your suitcase over the floor makes a lot of noise. I heard a lot of noise from other rooms. They are pet friendly which meant in my case that I woke up a couple of times by a barking dog. Didn't like the fact that the front desk called me Barbara, I have a Grey beard and I think I look masculine. A very strange incident. When I said: 'do I look like a Barbara to you?' I felt the lady got irritated, but really it should have been me being irritated. Well, you know, I think they deliver a service meant for other people than me.

This is a very comfortable and clean place to stay. We were in town for a family funeral so arrived a bit earlier than expected. Check-in was very quick and pleasant. The young lady was so personable and kind. It was greatly appreciated. We were unexpectedly given early access to our room which helped so much to get freshened up before going to the service. The room was clean, cool and so very comfortable. And the bed.........plus, plus, plus!! We will definitely stay here again if we ever find ourselves in Ft Stockton overnight in the future!!

We were only there for one night but I did not come across a single thing that was a negative experience.

- The room was spacious, the dedicated work chair was comfortable, and the kitchenette was nice (though no sponge was provided for washing dishes). - The shower was amazing, with water pressure just the way we like it.

- Breakfast was really bad. Aside from the fruit (only apples and oranges), all the food was processed and/or high in sugar. There were no gluten-free or lactose-free options. - The laundry room only operates with quarters, and the front desk does not offer alternatives for those without cash. I asked to pay by card in exchange for coins, but they wouldn’t accommodate this request.

Luggage racks were available to transport travel luggage to room. Clean room, good TV functionality, however, very awkward bathroom door next to the mircowave and refrigerator.

The breakfast was in my opinion was just a filler. My wife and I were there about 8:20 am. The scrambled eggs were ultra bland, the bacon was nearly all gone, and the auto pancake machine put out unappetizing pucks. Coffee was weak. The breakfast potatoes were not cooked enough, no seasonings available and no staff available to ask for help. compared to the competitions breakfasts, this was a 3/10. Stick with cereal and milk!

Overall a nice place to stay! We had absolutely no complaints about the facility. It felt like newer construction. No noise from neighbors. Great location just off I-10 but no freeway noise. The breakfast was good and the staff were friendly and helpful. Their Dakota Roast coffee is some of the best hotel coffee I've had. The room was a good size. Dove soap products.

We did have 2 issues with some of the staff. When we arrived and checked in Viviana wasn't very friendly or helpful. She just handed me key card without telling me my room number (had to get it from key card envelope), how to get to the room, where the elevators are, or anything. Then in the morning housekeeping knocked on our door at 9:39 even though check out isn't until noon. It was an unwelcome instrusion and really felt like they were trying to push us out early so they would have more time to clean. The people weren't all bad. Melanie at reception was helpful and the breakfast crew were friendly.

Great hotel convenient location.

That side egress doors were closed for emergency use only. Being put in a pet friendly room on a 2nd floor with no side doors near that were open made for longer walks to take the dog out to relieve itself. Also the full length green mats in the tiny dog runs really made it difficult for my pet to go, leaving it half open to go on the dirt would have been better. Mat appeared like a rug to my dog she would not go on a rug. Otherwise all good.

The ability to workout and the quality of the amenities and room upkeep. Great staff

Love staying here, one thing to keep in mind though is that it’s a pet friendly hotel and they won’t disclose this during check in. I’m allergic to cats snd sometimes dog fur so thought I’d share. Saw some large dogs while I was there and keep wondering if people slept with their pets while staying or maybe even let the pet sleep in the adjacent bed? Spooky thoughts but valid for me because my allergic reaction affects my breathing

The breakfast was delicious! I was able to eat well and so many choices. Staff is helpful and kind, very welcoming.

La Quinta website didn’t let my hotel know I paid the $30 for a late checkout and I had to run around making sure I could stay. Then I was automatically locked out of my room at noon, even though late checkout is at 1:00. And I was trying to pack my car and my dogs were in the room. A real inconvenience and it made me have to rush frantically to leave on time. It wasn’t the staff. It was the LQ policies and communications

We were there only one night on our way home, hotel was easy to get to, clean rooms and a nice breakfast with a lot to select from.

Customer service at the front desk was nice and friendly when we arrived, but when we left we brought the keys to the desk and said we were checking out, the staff member said okay then went back to what she was doing. I hope you had a nice stay, please come back to see us would have been nice for the staff to say.

We had to keep going to the front desk for the first three days to activated the key card.The staff did not record the correct departure so the key card would deactivated everyday. Having us to go to the front desk to activate the kay card. When we asked why the young lady she shrugged her shoulder rolled her eyes and said i dont know. I left the situation alone because i was tired and it would have been an unpleasant experience. I told the young lady i will speak to her manager in the morning. The manager correct the mistake and apologized for the rude staff. Our room was never cleaned, we had to asked for clean towels and ask for the trash can to be emptyed every other day.
