Stylish, modern, upmarket hotel in a quieter suburb of Chandigarh. All of the amenities you expect from a respected global chain, with some nice additions like a patio bar and even a Porsche dealership on the premises! Clean rooms, comfy beds, very quiet and good food. Great location near a big modern shopping mall and good road links.

Incredibly expensive compared to other local options. The room wasn't too bad, but food and drink are eye-wateringly expensive for India. A little bit shabby in places - lift interiors peeling, carpets in corridors need cleaning and windows needed cleaning.

They staff was really helpful and friendly. I was travelling from place to place in a random plan with my wife. We were a bit skeptical before entering the place as we were unaware of Novotel hotels, but wanted to try. However, the stay was amazing. Took the buffet breakfast option and I was very impressed by their chefs and loved everything. Totally worth it.

It's hard to find something bad there. But if I have to point out, if say it was probably the location which is slightly away from nearby facilities. And shower rooms were a bit small. But overall it was good only.

The Breakfast spread was good, however the quality of preparation was far from authentic. Ex: I tried the Idli's which were hard and spongy, the Chutney's was a far cry from being south Indian. The Chole Batura's were too oily and flaky, the Masala omelette was generally a fluffy plain omelette. The Dal we tried during Dinner was good and the Roti's as well as Naan were very good. The Chicken Masala Tikka was good too.

I was offerred a discount coupon for the bar, however was not able to use it as the timing was limited to 8pm. I had a full day tour and was disappointed not to have used the coupon. The staff were not empowered to make a decision to serve though I reached the Bar after 08Pm. The washroom Hand shower holder was broken and is not replaced and one notices a wet patch on (on the corridor side) on the wall while entring the room, perhaps some leakage from the Bathroom (Room 508)

Breakfast was perfect. They had choices of naan, dosa & chutneys. The staff were helpful. Great stay.

The room WiFi connection was poor & I couldn't even watch the TV as it kept showing no signal. Did called the maintenance team guy after checking it he told us it's because of bad weather and by right it's not as it has been for a few days stay.

The hotel was very spacious and easy to travel to. Stone’s throw away from all the important places. The rooms are big and comfortable with all the essential amenities. The toiletries are well stocked and the staff are more than helpful in case you need anything. Breakfast buffet was a good spread and taste on point. Would definitely recommend this place for people travelling to Chandigarh.

Quiet location, close to a mall, easy access to eg sector 17 for shopping and other services such as hairdressers etc. Easy to get uber and easy tuk tuk rides back after night out. Reception staff and guys at the door/ security helpful, polite and professional. Exceptionally clean

Breakfast service a tad slow if something was ordered rather than buffet. Servers at breakfast also appeared unaware of guests collecting food. I say this because at least 3 times a server nearly bumped into me as I was was collecting food...maybe a training issue

I was only meant to stay at the property for three nights but I was glad to extend for a further two nights rather than transfer to the Hyatt or JW Marriott as planned. I’ve stayed in many hotels across Punjab and in particular Chandigarh and I assure you that you won’t find a better hotel, with better staff, accommodation, location or value for money in the whole of Chandigarh or the Tri-State area. The rooms were clean and tidy and the beds were comfortable, the bathrooms adequate with a great two piece shower, both overhead and handheld. The property has a Porsche sales area in the lobby which is great for car enthusiasts having two models on show when you walk in, the bar operates 24hrs and serves a very good range of beverages, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic as well as bar food and snacks too. The open air dining and casual seating is also very good for those who don’t want to sit indoors, with ample cooling fans and TV screens outside to watch sports etc. A special mention for the wonderful staff at the property, from the gatekeepers to the door staff, to the check-in desks and concierge too, all very welcoming and engaging and they made my stay at the hotel all the more pleasant. Thank you to MJ at the front desk for helping me with a pin to change my SIM card when he saw me struggling with a bent safety pin. Thanks to Taruna, Vikas and Mohit the DMs who were always more than happy to help me with anything I needed. Mohit the Manager (not Mohit the DM, yes there’s too many Mohits here lol) was always leading by example in the way he engaged with me and other guests and should be proud of his team. Pool Bar Manager Sumit was how I expect any F and B staff to be, polite, engaging and attentive, the little thins like walking over to change my ash tray (albeit telling a junior member to do it) his juniors would do well to follow in his footsteps. Nightshift bar staff Simran and Kamal the server and room service attendant were great too!

If I was really picky I’d say not having the pool (YET, as they’re currently constructing one by the fitness centre on the 6th floor) and no Spa is what stop this property from being truly standout. That and the fact I think Mohit and the management team should encourage more confident interaction with guests by ALL members of staff, not just the duty managers in blue jackets, that’s all, nothing major at all but if I had to say something that’s what I would say. But I stand by what I said earlier, pound for pound, rupee for rupee, dollar for dollar or whatever currency you’re paying in, this hotel is the best value and all round nicest place to stay in the whole of Chandigarh

Staff is very polite, welcoming and helpful.

Actually I thought for 2 to 3 minutes only to realize that there is nothing that I didn't like. Just one suggestion, although there are elevators, but they should try giving maximum 2nd or 3rd floor to guests with senior citizens, so that they can evacuate easily incase of emergency.

Everything was splendid! Thank you from the management to each and every staff there. My trip was wonderful. I was nervous about my medical trip given that I had gone solo from Canada, but they made me feel safe and took care of me. Thank you so much. My trip was memorable. Thank you!

Novotel Chandigarh at Tribune chowk is a very nice hotel. The Ambience is awesome of the hotel and so is the decor. The check in is smooth the staff at reception is friendly warm welcoming and nice. The rooms are clean with all the facilities and the room service boys are prompt in service and hard working. The food at the resturant is tasty and the menu selection during the breakfast was awesome. In room dining food was customized for me which was tasty and nice. Overall Novotel Chandigarh is a very nice place and it has people with the right attitude of hospitality working in it. During my stay the occupancy was low, I hope we get the same attention service and warmth even if the occupancy is at the peak.

Although towels were clean but they were worn out and looked shabby. The in room dining quantity for the food ordered was pretty less.
