The design and decor of the hotel is lovely as are the gardens and pool area. We only wish we had more time there to enjoy it all. The rooms are furnished in traditional style, in keeping with the architecture, and there are nice little decorative touches around which made it quite special. The room had all the usual requirements one needs, the bed was wide and very comfortable and the shower pressure was fine. The reception area has a decorative staircase which leads upstairs to a small exhibition of Thai artifacts and some paintings, all very interesting. The reception staff and the staff in the restaurant were pleasant and helpful and we enjoyed our dinner there. Breakfast was a buffet with a good selection of Western and Thai food. The pool was not massive but very nicely set out with plants around it and a mist machine above to keep bathers cool. The funky pool beds shaped like leaves looked super but could be a struggle to get out of!

This hotel immerses you in the authentic historical Thai experience. Everything about this place is like nothing else I have experienced in Thailand. The atmosphere is so calming that the accommodation is a holiday in itself. The bed is hands down the most comfortable I have ever slept in. And a comfortable bed is very difficult to find in this country. The hotel is away from the road so it is really tranquil. We really loved the historical feel of this place and everywhere you look there is something else amazing to see. Fantastic pool and plenty of car parking. Excellent value for money for a quality hotel.

The only thing that slightly detracts is the location. It’s just a bit of a drive out of the main area of town but that wasn’t really an issue for us as we had a car. The other small thing was the access driveway can be easy to miss. They could really benefit from a larger sign at the main road. But these were only very minor issues and only added to the tranquility of the place.

We were very happy with our stay. The staff was wonderful. We were welcomed with a refreshing drink and escorted to our room. The bed was so comfortable (after staying in many hard beds, it was a welcome relief). We had dinner in the restaurant and breakfast the next morning, both were excellent. The bathtub was a plus! The only unfortunate part was the party coming from somewhere near our room (not in the hotel) and it was very loud until 12:30 am. We would definitely stay there again though!

Maybe put in a room farther from the front.

Such an interesting property where a huge amount of care and attention has clearly been put in to making the hotel feel and look really authentic. The room was so gorgeous - roll top bath in the centre of the room! The bed was possibly the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in and we slept really well here. I was a bit apprehensive about the area but we were easily able to use Grab to get around, including a day trip to Sukhothai Historical Park.

Breakfast choice was a bit limited compared to other hotels we have stayed in. The pool was also a bit cold!

The hotel had a beautiful design, both exterior and interior. The rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable.

Having a bath tub in the middle of the living room, while beautiful decorative wise, is not particularly practical. The shower curtains should come down a bit longer, so that water doesn’t splash outside so much. The wooden flooring in front of the pool (and breakfast area) is giving way and has a lot of pigeon droppings.

This is such a charming and authentic hotel, and a great place to stop on the way from Bangkok to Chiang Mai, and for visiting Sukhothai on the way. You get a real feeling of being in Thailand here - the hotel is constructed in the old style, and they even have a museum. It's beautifully decorated and the rooms are stylish and comfortable. The food was delicious too!

The pool is a little small, and had too much chlorine in.

It was absolutely beautiful, historic and surprising. A hidden gem. The restaurant was excellent and the staff very friendly and helpful.

There was a smell of drains from the toilet that permeated the room at night. The bed was a bit too soft and the pillows too static which left us with stiff backs and stiff necks in the morning. The beautiful staircase was well polished and unfortunately also a bit too slippery so I slid down the stairs to the reception in the morning. Fortunately I was not hurt and everyone rushed to assist. The property was quite difficult to find, and better signeage would have been helpful.

Not even one chair in the room, there were no light switches near the bed so if you are reading in bed you have to get up to switch off the lights. The bathroom was separated from the bedroom by a glass wall and the curtain inside the bathroom was not large enough to cover completely the glass.

The room was beautiful. Bed was one of the most comfortable we had while we were in Thailand. All provided facilities were clean and tidy with very helpful staff. The breakfast was amazing with fresh croissants and very tasty food. If we ever stop in Phitsanulok again we will definitely stay here again.

Entry sign was a little difficult to see at night.

The hotel is an absolute marvel! We loved the architecture and the interior of this fantastic place, feeling there as we would stay in a noble house from the time of Sukhothai kingdom, full of stories and history. Beautifully decorated, this place gives you the feeling of living in the past, at the same time offering the luxury of a modern hotel. The staff is amazingly attentive, welcoming you like a family member. The restaurant gives you the chance to enjoy delicious Northern style dishes, served with love. We stayed in Shinnabhura Historic Boutique Hotel twice within 10 days. And we would always choose it in the future. Shinnabhura made our stay in Pitsanulok a highlight.
