We loved our stay at Fairfield by Marriott Gifu Seiryu Satoyama Park. We stayed here after visiting Museum Meiji-Mura - to see the Frank Lloyd Wright Imperial Hotel lobby masterpiece. The Marriott hotel is quite new and the rooms are beautifully appointed. They are also large compared to many hotel rooms in Japan. The beds were superb, beautiful linen, great pillows and the most comfortable mattress we’d slept on during our 3 week Japan trip. Loved the sliding door divider between the bathroom and the bedroom. There was a comfortable lounge to sit on in the bedroom too. Free tea and good quality coffee were available in the hotel lobby. The gardens are beautifully landscaped and there is a huge children’s playground and onsen just a 2 minute walk from the hotel. We had a great meal at the onsen restaurant. We would definitely stay here again.

Staff were exceptional and helpful in every way you could possibly imagine, went above and beyond and tried very hard to help us solve travel issues. Room was magnificently comfortable, clean spotless and well designed, modern with shared facilities kitchen and dining.

Nothing about the hotel or the staff we didn't like. The only thing to be aware of is that the hotel is not located in town but on an outlying park with plenty of entertainment and facilities and an onsen.

Very nice clean well presented hotel, amazing location set in the grounds of the park which has stalls and eateries and a fantastic tree top activity centre with zip lines. For us as a pit stop on the way to Kyoto it was an ideal stop over which exceeded all aexpectations and we will be very happy to visit again. Staff went out of their way to make us feel welcomed.

There is no dining or breakfast service at the hotel, but there are lots of options nearby so no problem.

This is a beautiful hotel situated in the middle of a wonderfully green conservation area. The rooms were sleek, pristine, and had all the comforts necessary for a great stay. In the lobby area, there is a huge space where you can kick back and literally make yourself feel at home. There are microwaves and hot water dispensers, and you can set up your take-out meals in this area, with plenty of space for friends and family. This hotel has a distinct Japanese aesthetic even though it is an American chain. The staff are helpful, and were great at giving us advice for where to eat in the park and how to get around. The park, the little petting zoo, the onsen bath, and the many little spots for food and drink truly make this a perfect get-away for a couple, friends, and family. Try to stay at least two nights if possible to make full use of the discounts for hotel guests in the park.

There are absolutely no negatives about the hotel itself. I do recognize that without a car, getting to the premises will require checking schedules carefully for the limited service bus that connects the hotel to the main train station. A taxi might be the simpler choice from the station to the park.

Good location outside of town, great comfy room but lack of a place nearby to eat out is a letdown.

There’s a cafe next door so breakfast is probably OK but in the evenings only some packaged snacks/meals are available in the lobby. Doesn’t match the quality of the hotel otherwise.

The staff were so kind. A very special thank you to Mio who went above and beyond the call of duty when she learned we had some challenges before we arrived at the hotel. her thoughtfulness was incredible. We loved the room and wish we could have stayed longer. it is beautifully and smartly designed and the beds were the most comfortable we have experienced.

The location was really good and, for us, ideal for access to Nagoya. Being next to the theme park would have been good but unfortunately we arrived late.

There was nothing to dislike about the hotel. We think the simplicity and the design of the hotel is very well done.

The hotel is spotlessly clean. Rooms and lobby are very stylish. Bed is great and comfortable. There is free coffee and tea at lobby. Hotel is attached to local entertainment center that includes some playgrounds for children and cafe and restaurants. Huge free parking and very conveniently close to the express way.

Very clean and comfortable. The onsen nearby for only 500¥ when showing the card was also a nice add-on.

The location is made to enjoy the park but is a bit far from everything else. Not really a bad thing if you come for the park. The toothbrush in the amenities could be of better quality.
