Really enjoyed our stay here, the property is slightly challenging if one had issues with stairs… but we used it as motivation for our next meal!! Mr Khao at reception couldn’t have been more warm and inviting. They made it easy to rent scooters for the day and once you’re off the rough road, it’s a pretty little island to explore. The monkeys do need some attention in our review… we neglected to properly lock our room and they had a hay day and absolutely ransacked us!!! We only heard after from other guests just how many were in our room at one time! Crazy experience coming back and seeing what they’d done!! Perfectly placed mirror in the bathroom that suited my tall husband… he insisted I put that in!! A lovely, chill time here…

The service in the restaurant/bar was a bit lacking…

The beach was clean and the staff, especially Mr. Khao, were really helpful. He was proactively attending to our travel needs and informed us of common gotchas. The food was great and the property is well thought out. The resort provides you with kayaks and surf boars so you can play/travel around in water and cards and board games so that you’re entertained outside water. Honeymoon villa had a great hot tub.

We booked the honeymoon villa, however the villa had a bathroom unlike the one showed in the photos. The property should consider updating it. The beach is rocky, so you might bruise yourself if you’re not careful.

I honestly didn’t want to review this place because I don’t want people to discover it and ruin it lol. What a hidden gem this paradise is. When I rated 10 for location, please note it’s because I wanted/needed complete seclusion! There are some shops a drive away but this place is so remote, it’s all about the nature surrounding you. Nothing but monkeys, butterflies, flowers, lizards, the smell of the beauty of Thailand’s thick foliage everywhere. All you hear are the waves against the sand, the birds, the frogs and the trees. It’s a place where your wifi probably won’t be connected a lot of the time (thank you for that additional blessing 🙏). A place to disconnect and reconnect with yourself completely. The staff were all amazingly kind, helpful and respectful of my peace. Even though there is nothing really there (a restaurant and bar, that serves really nice Thai food and possibly the best massage I’ve had, over looking the beach and the sea everyday at sunset), I never wanted for anything I ‘needed’. There were very few other guests but I was there in August, my favourite time to visit Thailand to avoid the crowds. There were a few days of heavy rain, thunder and lightening - just magical when you’re staying in a place where the skyline is more Sea than sky. I will come back to this place again and again and again. Thank you to all of the truly wonderful staff who made my stay just perfect, unforgettable. I feel so fresh and alive again, ready for a busy next 6 months at work until I can come back and replenish myself there again 🙏

Beautiful bungalows, lovely staff ,right on the beach. Fabulous sunsets

Too many stairs. If you are old or unfit, enter the resort by water, not road.

The property is beautiful. The pool is divine - I made friends with another guest who did yoga with me by the pool, it’s surrounded by tropical gardens and lit up with pretty lights at night. I loved sitting on my balcony in the morning, sipping my tea and watching the monkeys who were very naughty but also hilarious and very entertaining. I loved the romantic gazebo they made on the beach for massage, and the even more romantic chair in the sea. The dining area has sweeping views of the ocean and surrounding islands. I also loved that when we hired a longboat it came straight to the resort to pick us up! Also Mr Khao was a very funny, gracious host who spoke good English. All the other staff were also lovely and friendly.

The road out was very potholed, muddy and full of rocks, for about a kilometre until it became bitumen. I hired a motorbike and was terrified I would have an accident … but I survived, got used to the road and then it became a big adventure! 😂 Also the monkeys snuck into my room, ate my breakfast and stole my vitamins! 🤣🤣🤣🤣 But I also found this hilarious and a great story to tell my friends. Make sure you keep your doors closed! The massage here is expensive. You can get it cheaper at Oong Lee Bungalows two resorts down the beach (they have a great happy hour at sunset with stunning views). The restaurant food was also a little pricey - you can eat next door for much cheaper.

The staff are fantastic, especially Khao and Yuri. Loved the beach and the accommodation. We ate at the resort most night's and the food was great.

Our stay was fantastic, the only small criticisms were that the breakfast was a bit chaotic, but still really nice. Our bathroom also developed a bit of a sewery smell occasionally, but I know other guests did not have the same problem. We alos had some issues with out payment for the resort, which was a scam initiated through booking.com, so please be careful to only pay the resort directly or your booking agent - but the resort could not have been more apologetic about this and it was not their fault. Long, steep access to and from the road!

Staff were very helpful and friendly Mr Khow arranged trips and departures Evening meals were all good at the restaurant and there were a couple or further choices just along the beach Room was very comfortable and cleaned daily Nice setting, nice beach ( little bit rocky at low tide but none the less quite pleasant)

Must admit the steps were a challenge( all 219 of them) from the track down to the restaurant and beach !! but other than that the setting was great

On arriving ,We were welcomed to the Ocean Beach by smiling members of staff who proceeded to relieve us of our luggage and then we were escorted down the steps past the swimming pool and on to the reception. right next to the amazing beach with views over to Phi Phi. I think we have arrived in Paradise. After our welcoming drink we were shown to our wonderful sea view bungalow, nothing between our new home and the sea, a most fantastic place to spend the days relaxing. In fact this is the perfect holiday home. The staff at Ocean view were amazing, particularly ‘Soda’ and ‘Khoa’ who looked after us as if we were family. All the staff at Ocean Beach were so helpful, whatever you wanted they would sort it. The rooms were serviced every day the shower and the air-conditioning worked perfectly, swimming pool Beautifull and clean and the whole site very nice and clean . I have to give a shout out to ‘Soda’ as she helped me everyday with treatment for I arm which was injured previously. And the rest of the serving staff, always there to help and of course the most important cleaning team. Everyday, they came and did a magnificent job of keeping my rooms spotless Thank you all With Love.

Location was perfect for us. Quiet and peaceful. Our room was ( yes in a need for a bit of maintenence but...) very beautiful, air con worked fine. I actually found watching monkeys amusing, people just need to be a bit more aware of animals when they travel to certain places and be aware what to do or what not to do when around them. E.g. saw some people giving a moneky food just to then lock themselves in the room as many more came....

Nothing to do with the property but swimming only possible in the mornings. MEanwhile could use the pool whihc was lovely but unfortinetly only one sunbed there...... instead few tables with chairs. Not sure who and why woudl use them there as it is a bit of a cliam up to get there and there is no bar or anything by the pool.

"Nature, Comfort, and Outstanding Service" Koh Jum Ocean Beach Resort truly stands out for its natural beauty and excellent service. We were in awe of the peaceful, untouched beach and the vibrant marine life we encountered while walking along the shore. The beachfront bar and restaurant offered fantastic meals, and the view was unbeatable. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, always going the extra mile to ensure we had a wonderful stay. Our room was spacious with all the amenities we could ask for, and the pool was a great spot to cool down in the afternoon. An absolute gem!
