The staff were wonderful and helpful. The location was excellent. The hotel overall was quiet. The rooms were clean and spacious and the bed comfortable. The staff arranged for a taxi to take us to a Palenque which worked perfectly for us.

The hotel lacks a little warmth in its decor. I would suggest removing the fountain and making it a garden/green area. The dining area wasn't inviting and this needs to looked at. There should be an earthquake plan written in the folder as we had no clue what were supposed to do in this event.

The room & hotel were super clean, well kept, the bed was extremely comfy, spacious shower & room overall. The room had character - a gorgeous green and grey stone wall ran along one side. The room was very quiet/sound proof as well. The staff overall was friendly & attempted to help where possible with questions about the area & getting around.

There were no windows to the outside in the room; only one that faced to the interior which was open to the pass throughs so other guests and hotel staff could see in to the room if the blinds were open. So if in the room during the day, it was rather dark (because I kept the shades drawn). The comfort & cleanliness made up for it though

It was clean, well kept, quiet. Only one staff member spoke English, but overall everything went smoothly. The rooms are spacious, modern and comfortable. They arranged airport transport for us. The gym is great. TV has access to Netflix.

The location is a bit sketchier part of Centro. The hot water was inconsistent, and we kept getting decaf coffee instead of regular.

Quiet and serene yet close to restaurants shopping and museums. Great staff. Modern bathroom, plugs at bedside, coffee service, spacious room. Beautiful decor throughout hotel. Parking included.

I WS SURPRISED THAT THE ROOOM S HAD ESSENITALLY NO SOUND PROFFING BETWEEN ROOMS. I COULD ALMOST READ THE LIPS OF THE GUESTS NEXT DOOR. THAT IN ITSELF WOULD MAKE ME NOT RECC THIS HOTEL. BEST THING ABOUT HOTEL WAS STAFF!

The staff was extremely attentive and couldn't do enough for us. The rooms and hotel were spotless and beautifully appointed. The food was very good and the menu was surprisingly extensive.

As we found in Oaxaca in general, most people don't speak English and communication was difficult. We were lucky to have a fluent Spanish speaker in our party.

Beautiful hotel with well appointed rooms with plenty of light. Extremely clean. The staff was more than accomodating.. Fabilous restaurant.

Communication was a little difficult as not many in Oaxaca speak English and that was a problem in the hotel as well.

Super clean and comfortable. It has a colonial feel up front inside with modern spotless rooms. Very nice I’d stay here again.

I wish the rooms which are large had a small sofa or a couple of lounge chairs the seat is not that comfortable.

Excellent all around. Beautiful hotel, clean, staff attentive and friendly. Quiet and the room and bathroom were spacious. Often hotels are just places to come back to change clothes or sleep but we enjoyed just hanging out in our room. Hotels in historic downtowns are often charming but have lots of stairs and funky small rooms. Casa Hidalgo is a welcome exception! Thank you!
