This hotel was located right on the main street, and it was easy to walk everywhere we wanted, including to and from the tourist bus park. The staff was excellent, and arranged all our park tours for us, and even a bus back to Kathmandu. As far as the room, it was nice, and we appreciated the kettle an the mini fridge. The water was hot, and the internet worked well.

The shower didn't work very well, but the water was hot, so that was nice.

The rooms are wonderful , very clean and well managed. The hotel overall is in a good location closer to restaurants,pubs and shops and the hotel is also constructing their own restaurant which make the hotel ideal and my heartbrother Ashish amazing host he will offer the best and the lowest prices for Safari and other excursions even bus tickets. Hats off to Ashish for taking good care of us.

Comes recommended, exceptional value for money. Clean and well-maintained rooms with private bathroom and hot shower and excellent a/c. Staff really makes you feel comfortable and at home. Walking distance (10 mins) from entry to Chitwan Park and from the Sauhara Bus station (15 mins) where busses to Kathmandu leave. Also walking distance from mini-marts and restaurants (<1 min)

Shower head needs replacement, but that’s minor

Our stay here exceeded our expectations! The owner Suraj is the kindest man and he really puts his heart and soul into running his hotel. We stayed on the top floor overlooking the rice field, bed was comfy, shower was nice and hot, and breakfast was delivered to us every morning on the terrace. He helped arrange a very experienced guide to take us on a jungle walk, canoe tour and jeep tour. By far the best is the exhilarating jungle walk where we found 5 rhinos bathing in mud and we just sat and watched them for 15 minutes. All the prices are so reasonable and you get great value! We’d stay here again in a heartbeat.

There’s construction going on outside (all down the main road, really) so it can be dusty, that’s why we recommend staying higher up to avoid the dust and noise.

Had a corner room on the second floor ~ Air con kept things frosty mid-summer ~ Fridge worked, wi-fi worked, hot shower worked ~ The room was clean ~ Staff was pleasant and available without being intrusive ~ I did not use room service, tho it was available ~ There are lots of hotels to pick from in Sauraha, I didn't check the others but was quite happy with the Peacock and intend to stay there again on future trips ~ Recommended ~

The owner, Mr. Suraj, runs the property professionally and with utmost hospitality. He also helped planning a variety of activities during my stay in Sauraha : jungle walk and jeep safari. The evening was filled with a Tharu dance cultural program whose venue is right next to the hotel. It was a memorable and pleasant stay for me in Sauraha.

One of the best places we stayed on my Nepal trip with me boys. Very comfortable rooms, very clean, great location and great aircon and ceiling fans which were much needed after hot days on safari/buses. They provided breakfast for good price and was fresh and great. The staff were very friendly and helpful and they have a well stocked supermarket at the front. Very happy we stayed here and would recommend to others indeed.

Some of the bathroom tiles were chipped and could have been dangerous.

Thanks for your hospitality. We had a great room. Many restaurants, small shops and coffee places are around at the very same street. River side is just a short walk away. The staff helped us book a safari tour. We have enjoyed our stay!

The owner was humble and always willing to help us like a family member. Everyone there made our stay comfortable. The location was also perfectly accessible to anything that you want. Tharu cultural dance hall was beside it. The room was clean, well lit n very comfortable with the TV. Booking activity like jeep safari was assisted by them even at the last moment which was helpful to us. Room rates were also affordable according to preferences. I would love to stay there again and would like to recommend this hotel if you are planning to travel to sauraha...
