Our stay at Hotel Murmann was exceptional. A hidden gem in the beautiful town of Maratea along the coast, away from heavy tourism and amongst the local population. The hotel is just an 8 minute walk from the nearest beach, as well as close to local shops and a supermarket. The breakfast was the best we have had along our trip. The pool and surrounding area was gorgeous, and the staff were attentive, friendly, and accommodating, even offering to pick us up and bring us to the nearby train station at check in and check out, along with all of our luggage. We wish we stayed longer! We will be back!

Beautiful hotel in peaceful surroundings, so relaxing with really nice pool. Breakfasts were a great selection of tasty foods.

The breakfast was very good. Angelo (our server) was amazing. Always jovial, smiling and chatty. Teresa, the receptionist, was very friendly and told us about the hotel, the town, the attractions, provided us with blankets, and arranged for taxi whenever we took a trip. Thank you. The room was very clean, the toiletries and towels were good quality and in sufficient quantity. The hotel had an excellent pool and a panoramic terrace at the top (from where we watched the sunset over the sea). The hotel was chic and charming, very well maintained and very elegantly decorated. Lots of beautiful plants, a garden and places to sit and enjoy the outdoors. Very close to the sea. The hotel personnel told us about a staircase to the beach (shortcut) which cut the time in half to get there. They also provided discounts at local businesses and the beach club. The town was clean and beautiful. From the hotel we could see on the top of the mountain the 21 m statue of the Christ, the Redeemer (lit in the night, projected over the starry skies). The hotel is located steps from the mercato and various local restaurants. We liked Litrico (family owned and operated) for the good food, quality service and cosy atmosphere.

The beds were a little hard for our taste, but not too bad. We would have preferred that the dryer is stand alone (not attached to the wall), which would have made it easier to use.

From greeting to leaving this place was very special. We loved the kindness and hospitality of the staff. A welcome drink on arrival is something I’ve not experienced in a long time, was lovely to see this at this hotel. We loved the pool area. The breakfast is another level of amazing - we come to Italy every year and this is one of the very best - would be 5 star if in England! The bed and pillows very comfy. The rooms and all facilities are spotlessly clean. There is a shuttle service but we did not use as we had a car. Not far from the beach, a small port and a few km from the beautiful little historic centre of Maratea. You can even see the Christ redeemer statue from the hotel.

We had a great experience at this hotel and would definitely stay here again. The staff were helpful and even arranged a complimentary tuktuk ride to the train station, which made our departure much easier. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the pool area was nice for relaxing. The breakfast was amazing with fresh local products, tasty juices, and local cakes and croissants. Everything was fresh and well-presented with regional flavors.

The hotel was a perfect place to unwind for one night but only wish we stayed longer. It was relaxing in maratea and the pool was wonderful for my swimmer husband to enjoy in the morning. We had such a nice welcome from the staff and a delish and plentiful breakfast. We walked to the beach to just enjoy the sea and it was quiet with a few people and dogs. There are restaurants nearby that were good value and also a little town a few minutes away. Clean room and we had a balcony to enjoy too. I would stay again for sure.

It was a perfect spot to get a glimpse of a nice and simple hotel. We liked it all.

Staff was extrardordinary. They went out of our way to make sure were comfortable. We came without a car, so, they were very helpful with advice on both public transportation and taxi options. Breakfast was exceptional, table side service, with a large variety of things, all very delicious. The building was well maintained and it had a wonderful and colorful patio, very comfortable to sit and catch some sun, surrounded by trees and flowers.

I must say that I had a wonderful experience. The staff was very helpful and would have picked us up from train station, but, in general, because of the nature of the town of Maratea, it is best to have some kind of transportation. Being May, public transportation was still a bit scarce, since tourist season does not start until early June. We relied on taxis a couple of times, and the staff arranged them for us, taxis were there within a few minutes.

The breakfast was excellent. The staff were really nice, did the maximum they could to help us. The hotel is very clean and very pretty. Walking down and up to the beach required a bit of effort for seniors like us, but was lovely. Very few English there but that was good for us as we study Italian. Wonderful supermarket nearby and a few restaurants within walking distance. It is better to have your own car.

The location is great, nice restaurants around, a beach very close to the hotel (8 minutes walking). The breakfast is incredible, best I ever had in a Hotel. Staff are also very nice and helpful, we didn't have a car and they offer a shuttle to the train station or book taxis to go to nearby places. Can highly recommend!
