Staff very friendly and helpful at check in. Room small but ok for 2 adults and a baby. Bathroom area was bigger than most other hotels of comparison price. The deluxe rooms had greenery for privacy which is nice. The pool looked clean and good although it was too cold to test it out - maybe next time.

I had to buy a kettle from the supermarket in town as the one in the room was very unclean inside, and I needed to boil water for my baby early in the morning. We left for a couple hours in the evening and when we came back other people had taken our carpark outside our room and we had nowhere to park, forcing us to leave our car in a different location.

The Manager was a fabulous bloke I had a electrical issue with my motorbike and just enquired at reception to which he rang around locally and even rang Townsville to see if they could assist what a fantastic man.The room was very clean and comfortable, the meal I ordered the restaurant was delicious and plentiful I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

I could not fault the wagon wheel whatsoever. From the moment I received the room key from Wayne Chivers to the morning we left. Everything was breathtaking. Our little fur baby Alize also had a warm welcome from staff and other follow stayers. Fur baby looked forward to returning to our room to relax after a very long morning and afternoon. The pool was amazing to relax after a long day out. Thank you so much to the Chivers family. You out do yourselves everytime.

Being full of charm outside of the building with very clean and comfortable good sized room. Microwave, kettle, iron, toiletries, very comfortable bed with crisp linen. Quiet location.

The vicinity of nextdoors smoking area being very close to our door. Both our doors were next to each other.This is not a problem for those who smoke and just my only issue as a non smoker.

Friendly staff, easy check-in, meals can be dine in or takeaway, I got the pizza and chips takeaway and they were great. Pet friendly which is why I booked it. As a solo traveler, I felt safe in this room as it also had the chain lock inside. Bed was really comfortable as well so between that and feeling safe, it was a great nights sleep.

I have stayed here before but this time had a renovated room next to the pool. The beds were very comfortable The managers were friendly and helpful Ate in the Motel restaurant and the food was delicious and reasonably priced. Would stay there again.

The room was clean, tidy and even had a decent chair to sit in. Great for our overnight stay . The staff were very helpful and has a restaurant to go to after a long drive. Thank you for making it a comfortable stop over 😀

Service at reception and in restaurant was excellent and appreciated owner's flexibility with breakfast times. Location convenient, walking distance to town centre (where I was working) and easy walk to amazing Flying Doctor Museum. Excellent free wifi. Rooms clean and beds comfortable.

Rooms are a bit old but not a problem for me, it's very clean and beds are comfortable. Would definitely stay again.

Bob and his wife are lovely and plan on doing great things to the motel. Our room was clean and comfortable and the pool was nice and cold. We had spaghetti bolognese and the vegetarian pizza at the restaurant and it was delicious. We would definitely stay again.

Beds and location for parking a trailer was great. Nice hot shower with great water pressure. Very accommodating Pet friendly was a bonus for us.

Had end room, with a lot of road traffic throughout the night.
