I was only able to have dinner at the accommodation on one night but the food was tasty and fulfilling. The rooms were very quiet. I was on a room right near the main road / highway and very rarely would be bothered by a louder vehicle. No noise from between rooms. Spacious. Comfortable bed. Good shower pressure etc. Definitely going to book there again whenever I am in town.

The only recommendation I have is to have a compendium for the hotel and facilities and town etc. When I checked in, I was informed about restaurant opening times but after the long drive and with other things on the mind, these can elude your memory. A information guide for guests in each room would be helpful to know about the restaurant times etc.

The temporary managers John and his wife were FANTASTIC. Years of hospitality industry experience at its absolute best was on display in all my dealings and observations. Nothing was too much trouble , we needed an additional car parking spot an the property was fully booked but was not an issue and was dealt with on the spot. Give them both a pay rise The property was excellent. Spotlessly clean , great bathroom and very comfortable bed. On a par with a number of 5 star hotels I have stayed in After a long day on the road the bar and restaurant were exactly what the doctor ordered and were faultless. Reasonable prices, good food selection, fast and friendly service, accurate billing

This was a great choice to unwind from long days of travel. Very clean, cool, comfy beds, shower pressure was great and they have good smart TV's. The staff were very nice. It's quiet too. Dinner was fairly standard but it was handy to have somewhere to go on site.

Very minor - the shower tiling around the floor needs replacing.

We have travelled from Hervey Bay to Darwin and now on our return home. The Gidgee Inn is by far the best accommodation we have stayed in during our travels. We have stayed overnight at Emerald, Winton, Barkly Homestead, Daly Waters.

Have already ticked those boxes, size of room, cleanliness, comfortable. Couldn’t fault it.

The rooms were spacious, a big bathroom and extremely comfortable bedding. Easy parking and nice outlook from the back sliding door.

Restaurant service was extremely slow, get there early. Food was tasty.

The staff were exceptional. We were there due to floods and trying to get home They did everything to help us Would definitely Recommend and if we are ever back in cloncurry will stay there again

The thought of it being right on the main highway the rooms had great sound proofing… barely heard the cars and prime movers at all ☺️

It’s not so much the property but the town itself doesn’t really have much opened in the aspect of things to do or any variety of restaurants, café or shops.

Very convenient and clean and Wi-Fi signal was strong. Comfortable bed.

The screen door had big holes in it so we weren’t able to get fresh air in the room without bugs. The restaurant at he property was closed so our only choice in town was the roadhouse which is like sitting down eating fried food inside a truck stop. Never saw reception, so cannot rate.

The Gidgee Inn far exceeded our expectations. The room was 200%. The staff at the front desk, and in the restaurant were all extremely professional, friendly, and made us fee welcome.

Not a thing (unless we count there is no Gidgee Inn near where we live for future stays)

Location was good for our 2 night stay. We didn't have an opportunity to eat at the restaurant but will, the next time we are in Cloncurry.

Our stay suited our travel needs. Our room was clean and comfortable and away from the main road.
