Very nice room, easy to get to! Excellent front desk staff. Mandy who checked us in was great! She showed us to our room, helped us order room service, checked that all was working in the room.Got us a bag of Ice. They offered a take away breakfast in the morning. Recommend the Executive rooms, they are within a gated parking area. You park right outside your room , very secure and easy to move your luggage from your car to room. Room had shower and tub and Satellite TV, unfortunately the TV was difficult to hear.

When entering town we were targeted by some thieves. They told us the town was closed and told us to detour, said we had to buy a pass to get to the Hotel. We initially followed their directions to a parking lot.When we were told to follow them into an alley we said no and left! This rouse has been done to other tourists and they were robbed! The hotel confirmed this had happen to other guest!

I liked the cleanliness and breakfast. The staff were very friendly and assisted and were quick to assist when needed. A lot of appreciation for the ladies in the breakfast restaurant, they were very attentive to us and were quick to provide help when needed.

The wifi was horrible and had to sign in every time I wanted to use it. But then again so was my cellphone network, so maybe it was just an issue in the area. I also found it a bit weird they didn't have cutlery in the room, which is a bit of an inconvenience should you get food from somewhere in the evenings. they also did not have a microwave so couldn't warm up a meal should you choose to have it later on. Lastly please fix the doors, the unit that scans the door card kept falling apart every time I closed the door which was a bit annoying having to keep putting it back on the door. just a little maintenance is required.

I love the Savoy Hotel and it’s my hotel of choice when i am in Mthatha. Staff and facilities are absolutely amazing. Restaurant is always on point with a great spread of breakfast. Well done!

Stayed in a twin room, the stools at the desk below the TV are a little heavy and make a loud noise if you drag them, I assume that was the noise i was hearing from the neighbouring room(s). Please consider rubberising the legs 😄

Convenience of the location, parking proximity to the room, strength and consistency of the Wi-Fi, convenience of the iron/board in the room, and the ease of access in the shower.

I have 3 things: 1. Mthatha is very cold, please ensure that your heating equipment in room 24 is in functioning order. 2. Kindly consider installing proper chairs with backrest in the room. This will be helpful for comfort for work after hours. 3. Please rubberize the legs of the chairs you currently have. The noise of steel again the tiles can be heard from other rooms, and to say the least, IT'S ANNOYING. Hope you won't be mad at me. Regards Zethembe Shandu

I liked the executive rooms; they are big and have quite a nice design, which is very nice and stylish. I also liked that there was a bath and a shower. The staff were outstanding and helpful, making the experience even better.

The bed was not very comfortable, that was the only thing I did not like, everything else was very good.

Amazing staff from reception to housekeeping and the kitchen. Delicious breakfast and lovely comfortable rooms.

There was a group of ANC members that made noise chanting and singing late into the night even at 1am…the Hotel should have a strict noise policy regardless of who the guests are.

Location is great, staff is very friendly an helpful. Breakfast was nice as well. Parking is safe and secure. You could pay online - its convenient.

Bathroom door can't close properly (strange design, parking is not always available next to your room, Cleaning ladies in the morning quite noisy.

The breakfast was bad due to National Traffic Officer's influx and request of the low cost breakfast. But there should have been another tables for guest who paid for full breakfast.

The room fridge is very small, does not cool well and has no freezer compartment for freezer blocks. For the price of accommodation this can be improved.

Internet was spotty, aircon seemed to malfunction and make weird noises at ungodly hours. Access to the rooms was limited, only 2 staircases for a fairly big building, both at the very ends of it
