I stayed in the new wing of the hotel in a very comfortable, well appointed room that had a nice view of the town square. The breakfast was very good. Laholm is a lovely little town in a gorgeous area and Laholms Stadshotell helped make my stay there memorable.

I didn't know that the hotel isn't staffed before 4 pm, so no one was there and the door was locked when I arrived earlier in the afternoon. Unlike most hotels where you can wait in the hotel lobby until it's check in time, I had to come back to the hotel after 4 pm to check in, which was an inconvenience. Make sure you plan your arrival time around when the hotel is open to receive you. I didn't really see any staff while I was there since they're only at the hotel during certain hours.

It is private owned and the rooms are not standard but differently designed following different decades. This time we had a 1940’s design. Excellent breakfast, all you need and not too many choices. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Cannot think of anything. Within its price range it is exceptional. It’s a pity the restaurant is closed on Sunday evening, as this is the only ’normal’ restaurant in town (not counting a Thai takeaway)

The style was so cool! I could feel like in 1910-1960. This was really cool!

Check in is at 16.00. I send a message to ask if we can check in earlier but I didn’t get any answer. Not only reception but the whole hotel was closed when we came at 15.00.

Free bus use from the railway station to city center for train users and spontaneous help from the bus driver to point me out the shortest way to my hotel. Location in the center of the city + the ancient styling of the building and entrance hall. i had a room designed in style 1920's and found it great. Great match hotel & city.

just this small remark: I had Mediterranean weather in South Sweden when I arrived. Sun was shining on the great windows of the room. Windows were kept closed (best one can do in these circumstances) BUT the curtains were left open so the sun had occasion all afternoon to preheat the room. Ventilator present but at that moment, harm was already done. On the other hand, I could sleep all night with windows largely opened without one single mosquito coming in.

We stopped off in Laholm as a stepping stone to Båstad. The hotel, staff and location were excellent. Breakfast a treat too
