Price but it was midsummer

The room was of a good size, but rather dirty: the floors had not been wiped, so there was hair everywhere, and the shower could also have been cleaner. Staff was friendly, but check-in was complicated, because their card machine refused to cooperate, yet nobody mentioned Swish (which they are set up to do, but the sign was hidden), so it took far longer than necessary (after three attempts on the faulty card machine I noticed the hidden Swish sign and had to ask a surprised staff member whether that could be the solution). Better staff training would be helpful here. The restaurant had a lot of choice, but it was clear after we had sampled the cappuccino that they had a lot of canned/frozen/ready-made options (the cappuccino was of the instant kind based on milk-powder, which we also found in the hotel room, and they served it in the restaurant, even though we'd requested oat milk; charged an inflated price for it on top). We decided to eat out as a result, which we hadn't planned on based on the advertising of their menu online. The village itself only has basic pizza and burger places, especially slightly out of season, so one needs to drive a fair distance for decent food. Breakfast was ok, with plenty of choice on the carbs front, but hardly anything fresh - a little too one-sided for a place that claims four stars, sadly. Lots of good will and effort, but not yet well executed.

The mattresses were awfully soft, the exterior barely finished (fresh, crumbly and dusty concrete outside, giving the whole place a new, but hardly completed look and feel) and the rooms have definitely not been sound-proofed as the website claims! Overall, the place is nice and ok, but definitely not worth four stars, neither on booking.com nor in any other classification system. A solid three stars, with lots of room for improvement.

It looks good from the outside and it has good ventilation. Also some nice sitting areas outside, even tough we didn’t use these.

New building but it seems like they have chosen the most affordable materials and on a tight budget. It feels more like a hostel rather than a hotel.
