Nicely decorated hotel. The rooms have great views over the harbor. The rooms are modern. The kids liked the robot at the reception, the automatic curtains and futuristic toilet the most, which also cleans itself. There is a small gym with the basic equipment. Good breakfast with enough choices. Location is perfect. The city center is around the corner. The city is very clean. Gulangyu island is just across the harbor. The hotel can help with booking tickets. Distance to Xiamen Gaoqi airport ia approximately 30 min by taxi. We were with 5 persons and 3 large suitcases and did not fit in a regular taxi. Or we would have to take 2 taxi’s. But just outside the airport they will ask if you would like a very luxury mini van for 120 RMB. Don’t forget to ask for their number if you also would like to return with the mini van. Download the app Alipay to pay if you don’t have cash.

Not all personnel speaks English but everybody is willing to help with their phones and translation apps.

Staff at the reception counter were very helpful. Mickey and Rikki helped us with many arrangements, going out of their way to help us with bookings, and even some of the Apps as we were there for the first time. They were prompt and friendly all the time. We also enjoyed the wide variety of food for the breakfast and also a service staff would go round after our meal with fruit juice and local desserts to try. The room I booked has excellent view and is very spacious to relax and enjoy the views.

Sea view room had excellent views towards Gulangyu, with information of the monuments you can see, as well as some paper and coloured pencils to draw. The decoration is quirky and fun, making reference to the culture and history of Xiamen. Location is very good, close to Zhongshan Rd and short taxi drive to Nanputuo and Xiamen Uni. The hotel receptionist, Lydia Li (guest service manager), was extremely nice and helpful, aiding us to book a tour to the Nanjing Tulou, and was very attentive as well during our stay.

A bit of noise could be heard from the next room, but still quiet in general.

Overall satisfied with the hotel. Understand the hotel is more than 10 years old so I dont expect it to be in tip top condition, but it's good being a 13 year old hotel. Staff was good and well mannered. Breakfast was good and comes w good seaview.

Bed and pillows were too soft for me. Basin tap can be improved, but could be due to design, water tends to spill over. If there is coffee machine in the room, it will be good. Corridor can be brighter.

The hotel service was excellent, and it was very clean and comfortable. There were plenty of breakfast options, and we could enjoy a sea view while dining, which made the experience even more enjoyable. On the last day, I got food poisoning and needed to go to the pharmacy for medicine. The gentleman at the front desk, worried that we might have trouble as we were unfamiliar with the area, kindly offered to take us to a nearby pharmacy. His service attitude was exceptional—I’m really grateful to him.

Love the hip new style with fun elements such as an art stand for you to draw the scenery outside the window.. cute merchandise in the room that can be bought great location - walking distance to the Zhongshan road and the 8 road Market. opposite you can take the ferry to the island - but for foreigners it is only possible at certain times and hours. easy to get food outside and there are many cafes and bars around

the shower room was a little less pragmatic for older guests or plus size guests. the reception team, not all of them speak English - it was a little challenging and surprising for this type of hotel not to have a team that can communicate with international guests. not found on Google maps, which can be tricky for international guests that depend more on Google maps

The location is very convenient, close to pedestrian street and not far from ferry. The room size is nice with a sea view. A breakfast variety is OK.

The staff even the front desk do not speak English. This would be difficult for foreigners who cannot speak Chinese to ask for direction advie or a room change due smoking smell. The hotel is not near to subway so either walk or taxi.

I had chosen the hotel as it is just across Gulangyu and near to Zhongshan Road. The service is generally fine. The housekeeping lady Ms He (9th flr) and the conceign staff Mr Chen are very helpful.

Downside is that it is PRC school holiday season now and the hotel is popular with family tourists. I did meet some ill disciplined kids and rude parents, and this can be annoying. Some wear and tear in the room decor and fixtures.

Great location near the ferry port to Gulangyu Island. Great views of Gulangyu Island from the room and breakfast floor. The staff were awesome!

It appears that the “central” air-conditioning system will automatically increase room temperature to 26-28 degrees celsius at night, and it cannot be manually adjusted. This made the room extremely stuffy and uncomfortable. Apart from this, everything was good
